Well as much I know there is no payment on replying on old topics or posts. It is only allowed here to focus on new and legit topics and reply on those topics. 

There is no mean of replying on old topics. You have to search recent posts and also read the full content of any posts and if it is good and real then reply on that only.

I would say yes, you must make reasonable comments but you can make money only if you can comment without rubbish and look for money. You can still comment on a two year old post. The comment is reasonable.  You will get his payment no matter how old he is.  And accordingly, the older ones are more reliable when it comes to commenting because repetition removes new ones and our comments get deleted with it.
