My Etherwallet

Recommended Posts

After a long time yesterday I tried to create a wallet with them and it took more than half an hour to understand. It's not simple like the earlier version and still the wallet didn't show the private key.

I am now using Keystore file with password instead of private key.

Can somebody tell me how can i get private key for this account and my remaining two accounts at MEW  were based on private key access only.

It's getting bore with MEW as it took more time with the site.

The myetherwallet is the best ERC20 wallet i ever had. This is the beat according to the security. They give is many options to log in with. They give keystone file, privet key etc. I think the keystone process is most safe to log in. Also accept all the ERC20 dependent tokens. Best Wallet.

When i was new to my ether wallet it was so hard to understand. When you first logged in to the account you should get a backup key you have to save it carefully instead you will not be able to backup your account.

Hi, I think you were talking about previous version, but now it is hard to understand and we need to use a password too.

The rules of ether wallet are very complex and boring. That why I do not support using ether wallet.I think their wallet system should be simplified.

If system should be simplified, then hackers would be more as previously a lot of people lost their money to scammers.

It's best wallet, but they changed in such a way that understanding is very hard to anyone. I spent more than 45 minutes to create wallet with them.

It has Mew connect app on playstore , works just like hardware device , you need to scam code from pc to phone app and then only you can login to website , but you cant send money from phone wallet, just like hardware wallet

Yes their is an application  for installing on Android, but the phone space is running out so am using directly on website. I think you mis-typed Scam code.

I would go for Myetherwallet since it gives you the private key and also the wallet file so you can open it up in any other computer but meta mask is browser based and its an extension so its noty type. Just gave my review on it  I use Myetherwallet ( mew ) Metamask is kind of phishy for me.

They dont provides pvt keys these days you can use mew connect app from playstorre or create keystore file to. Login, after login of keystore you can generate  pvt keys only

If you find hard to use MEW you can always start using Metamask, it has everything that MEW has and is more user friendly although MEW isn't difficult to use just need to get used to it.

I can help you since every other comment here basically didn't. I'm quoting you so you get a notification.

Here are the steps you should make to extract your Ethereum address private key for your case:

- Go to MEW (https://www.myetherwallet.com/)

- Press "Access My Wallet"

- Select "Software" tab

- Select "Keystore File" and select your Json Keystore File from your wallet and click open.

- Enter your password. Now you are in the dashboard of your wallet.

- On the top left bellow the "Address" tab there are three icons.

- Click on "Print"

- Scroll down and you can see with read letters "MY PRIVATE KEY"

Hope this helps. I'd appreciate a like if this comment somehow helped you.
