Create your own currency can be done for different reasons, the most common money, but what I think you mean is to create your own project and that this project is represented by a currency, since it should be seen that way, a project is to remedy a need as a means you use the currency in this way you capitalize the project and then the market makes the price of your currency fluctuate according to how you grow your project.

I would love to make my own crypto currency. It should be better than all the other coins. It must have a fast transfer speed, it must be scalable, and very secure, and it must be ready for quantum computing.

What's the purpose on creating a new coin that will dissapear in a short term? scamming a few noobs and getting their money? I wouldn't do that. Plus that needs some kind of investment and knowledge that I do not possess, so my answer is no. There are enough coins and scams on the market

Actually you don't need to have these 2-4 BTC or even more in the pocket.  Many projects take those money from ICO, private sale or something similar, then invest to coin development.  Even you don't need to create the best smartcontract or the best coin ever existed. You just need find a community large enough and to offer them a clear idea which they need. They will give you those money if you offer them exactly what they want.

Btw, everyone can try himself in token's creation by using ethereum testnet ropsten. It's absolutely free and a simple token deploy doesn't take to much time. This is the fastest way to understand if this business is for you or it isn't.

Creating new coin is very hard and expensive process if you want this coin to be good and useful. So I don't really want to create new one, it's better to search for other coins :)
