The risk is very high. After the success Defi is having now it will be full of scams and I expect 90% scams to appear. I'm not saying everything is a scam but at least for the members of the forum that don't have enough money to lose in investments it is very high risk.

Of course, DeFi is now a good object for scammers of any kind since a huge wave of hype that overwhelmed it. Just look, YFI token grew from hundreds to more than 40000$ in a few months. People got creasy about it. In a moment a lot of new pyramids appear to grab people's money. No surprise. We must be very carefull before doing our investments now and  make a reserch just not to get into scam.

Currently scams are being looked at on a daily basis, and I think a lot of fraudulent projects are masquerading in the DeFi realm.

I have seen many many projects of these make their presales of "tokens" and when they raise the money they leave, leaving many users, investors even companies without part of their capital.

I believe that serious measures must be taken in this case and ensure the safety of digital capital, in a legal way.

I have emphasized it before, it is important to nourish yourself with good knowledge and investigate a project thoroughly to have a clear and personal opinion.

The main rule of Economics "when there is a demand, there will be a supply" has worked again. As soon as everyone began to need defi projects, they immediately began to appear, including from those who are not particularly honest. Unfortunately, I think that fraud is the cost of any hype.

If my info is correct there is another one a copy cut call xfyi which is a copy of fyi at this moment they are offering airdrops but I think this just to get people attention and at the end of the day they will just run with the money, I guess you gotta be careful in this crypto world or your money will be taken by scammers.

I wonder if I already posted here because I remember something about it

This is why I don't participate in ico, I have a bad experience with icos , I don't want to be a victim of an exit scam. Right now I only buy from an exchange when it hits there...

Scammers have taken advantage of the growth of defi tokens and many scams have come out. They place the letters YF on the fel token name to relate them to those of the yearn finance ecosystem and they are nothing more than scam. You should investigate the tpken very well, look at the contract in etherscan and see if the contract is valid and there are no signs of scam.

YFDEX was a new Defi project that had a presale similar to the ICOs we have seen in the past. After only 2 days of promotion they managed to make 20 million dollars in Ethereum in these presales convincing investors it was going to be a new mining liquidity pool that would be a "powerful player".

The Defi craze according to experts is looking a lot like the ICOs where many scams appeared and got out with billions of investors funds.

https://www.cryptoglobe.com/latest/2020/09/defi-exit-scam-vanishes-with-20-million-two-days-after-launch/

A week ago we seen Sushi Defi project founder Nomi Chef drain the Sushi pool by selling all the tokens he owned and made 14 million claiming to be doing what Charlie Lee did. But now Nomi Chef tweeted that he will give all tthe funds back and asked for the sushi investors to forgive him. So this exit scam may be cancelled but more will soon happen.

People have to be very careful with these scams, analyze well before investing, take care of your portfolios. Apparently noemi chef was not forgiven, sushi seems to be dead

If correct, good advice to find a unique scam, smart contracts also play a fundamental role, if you join a group of the project and the administrator does not respond to you or they block you from writing in the group, it is a scam team many times not We run into these people or fraudulent projects apart from if they ask you for a separate investment or they tell you that the money to give will be collected from the investments of the people obviously it is scam from here to china, we are attentive to these frauds

The old saying already says that ambition broke the bag, on the one hand enthusiastic investors seeing how YFI surpasses btc and on the other the scammers who are always in the latest trend are the perfect combination for these scams to occur again and again , I believe that DEFIs have come to revolutionize the world but there is never a lack of scammers who take advantage

De-fi can be a fast way of increasing your funds as seen in many examples, what if you invested in YFI you will have a lot of money, but to be honest because of the euphoria people are getting scammed left to right while investing in this type of projects, so I believe it's a nice oportunity if you want to risk your funds and get a big reward if you are lucky but you will have to research before investing.

the YFDEX was just another trap. They were promoting their projects in social media with huge craze and hype. And even they were doing huge giveaway for luring the people into their trap in Twitter. Most of the De-Fi projects are now just for money as we see with sushi and big drama has started in Crypto like the chief Nomi did.

It's very sad that unscrupulous people do those things, that's why you always have to verify the authenticity of the platform, although in the same way a scam can happen, this is a way to filter the scam from the real thing, that's my advice.

To protect yourself from Scam projects always double check the information about the project you want to invest in
