New DEFI exit scam: YFDEX.Finance

Recommended Posts

Well, there are many conditions for which we must analyze to avoid a scam, although in many occasions, it is impossible to predict the future and what will happen in the crypto world, defi, investments, trading. Perhaps the most advisable thing is to be patient with our investments and have them in a relatively safe place where we know that there is no high risk and in the case of venturing to know a new product, then take a risk and take into account that perhaps we will not see our investment again As well as perhaps we obtain a very good profit, it depends on the decision we make and the risk that we are willing to have.

Unfortunately the scammers are very attentive about any new project will make their fake project copy to attract people with confusion, so I think we need to report them, to make some advice about that....

YFDEX has caught a lot of people with their traps, they made a lot of money because a lot of people believed them. Just like how a lot of people are still losing their money with fake airdrops that claim to be UNI's. But they are just scammers!

There are a lot of scammers that are using DeFi as a front for a scam. Maybe that is because of the recent success in of Yearn Finance which is also a DeFi. Scammers always tend to use a successful project for their front. So always do a research first before you do invest on something.

So many projects of these make their presales of "tokens" and when they raise the money they leave, leaving many users, investors even companies without part of their capital.

We seen too many defi doing that and it was what I was afraid of. One developer project made fast and used the correct channels to advertise only using the twitter shill accounts and listing at Uniswap. This was a matter of time before scams appeared.

YFDEX was a new Defi project that had a presale similar to the ICOs we have seen in the past. After only 2 days of promotion they managed to make 20 million dollars in Ethereum in these presales convincing investors it was going to be a new mining liquidity pool that would be a "powerful player".

The Defi craze according to experts is looking a lot like the ICOs where many scams appeared and got out with billions of investors funds.

A week ago we seen Sushi Defi project founder Nomi Chef drain the Sushi pool by selling all the tokens he owned and made 14 million claiming to be doing what Charlie Lee did. But now Nomi Chef tweeted that he will give all tthe funds back and asked for the sushi investors to forgive him. So this exit scam may be cancelled but more will soon happen.

There are many projects in which the scam is the order of the day, nothing surprises me, but we have to be cautious when it comes to knowing where we are getting, take into account that in some people and sometimes known in this world and already With years in the launch publications they go looking for quick money

Yes, we saw the amount of inflation occurring, and the promotion of this process was enormous. They began to exploit the weakness of the people by temptation and store their money. It seems that we are on the threshold of a new phase, as Nomi

There were many exit scams in DeFi at the same time and many more scam looking projects appeared so this time investors stopped funding them quickly. The DeFi market lacks maturity and has some big problems of devs controlling very big percentages of the tokens. This along with problems with their protocols make it not very safe to invest yet. But the more the risk the more the rewards too so I am expecting DeFi to come back maybe in December.

The DeFi fever has too many similarities to the ICO race or the 2017 bubble, scams are the order of the day and people fall easily as they are blinded by the desire to make money from projects that promise a utopia, something similar happened with YFI, from one moment to another, copies or forks of a token appeared where many invested and lost everything.

It's really better to think twice and see first the outcome of these DeFi projects before investing. I believe that most of the people who were scammed were most likely new in this field and they were unaware that they are engaging themselves with this kind of trap.

Most of the defi projects turns out as a scam. So everyone should consider before investing in defi projects. YFDEX finance is also a known defi scam. I was always afraid of investing in defi and still i don't believe any policy or procedures or any rules and regulations.

September was a bad month for Defi full of scam projects and hacking that kept going later and made Defi lose a lot of interest. We need to keep careful and if we find the least problem with one of them to stop looking. I am not interested much yet but if there is something safe I would want to try.

The YFDEX was just another trap. YFDEX  is one of the scheme that they sell to investors in the stage ICO with large amount. I believe DeFi system is still in the experimental phase. This scammers will be the undoing of DeFi as people will lose their interest and trust in it.

Many scammers take advantage of the price that yfi has and create scams by putting this name to anything, example yfi chair yfimax, yfiletal, so that the most unsuspecting ones will relate it to yfi and believe that it will be a great project, so it happened with uni after the airdrop they left a lot scammers putting uni to everything

You are right, I have seen so many that just change the name a little. I don't understand how they make it, are investors blind? There is Yfi and Yfii trading on Binance. This is madness.

Since you created this topic until today, every day hundreds of "new DeFi projects" come out, of which almost 100% is scam, I think only 0.001% could be a bit real, and it is unfortunate that there are still people who invest their money in those worthless tokens, since our knowledge regarding this world of cryptocurrencies is extensive and on the Internet you can receive guidance if you are new, the DeFi boom has brought a giant wave of scammers that generate millions
