If your created post on older post and that is not counted  due to another reason because if there is some problem in comment of post moderator close that post. If still post is open it mean you can comment if not counted reason will be another.

Of course I think you are allowed to comment on older posts, as long as the post is still open and you are able to continue the conversation / add something meaningful.  There are a lot of old posts that I noticed that get locked after a certain period of time and in this case no one can post anything else.  However, if the topic is open, I think that even if you consider it as an old post, it is more than welcome to post on the topic.

Yes we can make post on old topic but one thing keep in your mind always make post on that topic which are unique and useful. And never make post on repeated topics because moderator delete repeated topics and your post is Also deleted so avoid your post from deletion
