Is mining dead?

Not totally dead, but I think it's value is getting lower, especially bitcoin. There are still many mining sites and app that you can see all over the internet. They also got many users around the world, so you can't call it dead. It only got some problems because of only limited stocks remain in the blockchain but they are still profitable.

Cryptocurrency mining is definitely not dead yet however it is becoming difficult for those who are still struggling to afford electricity charge, mining equipment maintenance charge from the rewards that they get from mining.

Mining is not dead because there are many people who are still mining different crypto currencies everyday. But i thing the number of miners have decrease maybe in 80% because there are many scammers in mining.

Switching your mining rig to low value coin is not bad, but low value coin of good profit will be better, there value can increase over time, which means you will gain. But to mine, I prefer two cryptocurrencies  which are bitcoin and ether. They are the best two I prefer but require powerful mining rig.

Mining is not dead yet and l don't think that it will die in the near future. In my humble estimation it will long a long time, on the other hand as you above mentioned without BTC mining Blockchain transaction can not be done.

Mining can never be dead even if the currency has left no coin mined because  the mining also include the network  fee that is paid while  doing a transfer, so it will never  be dead.

i think that mining is only usefull if you have proper hardware and low power cost.

i only mine some xmr because i like to mine and the power is free.

But if i had to pay for it i can't pay the power for what i earn

Well it is not dead however algorithms are changing and for example the proof of stake algorithm it is not possible to mine the traditional way anymore so that is why some coins are not minable at all.

Mining will never die, because of course for minigable-based coins, a buffer is required for every transaction that runs. If there is no miner, the coin will die too.

This is because some cryptocurrencies are simply not profitable to mining. I think mining will stay with us forever. There are still new cryptocurrencies that we can mine and it is profitable.

Fisical minning its becoming really expensive for the retail investor, but that doesn mean its dead, you just need a bigger investment and cheaper electricity.
