  1. I second the vote that the nimiq browser mining is real, and is a great way to benchmark your laptop vs your phone. However, the desktop mining for nimiq is about 2-3x faster (yet obviously not available on phone/tablet). So while it's pretty cool that you can start mining with almost zero setup, it's not super-effective if you want to get serious about mining. It is however a good way to see if it's worth your time (and electricity). I'd advise that every other site that offers in-browser mining is scamming you, just be careful.
  2. Yesterday BCH had no blocks at all because of a difficulty issue, and it only took 3 or so blocks to catch up completely. There is so little volume with BCH that it's hard to justify it existing, since the main advantage is the larger block size that allows more transactions. It's simply not enough of an improvement to justify existing.
  3. Another reason to keep your coins (at least BTC) in a private wallet is that it's needed to claim the occasional fork or airdrop, such as MWC or Hex that recently airdropped based on how much BTC you had, but only in your private wallet that you could sign a message from. Those at least had ample warning (but that's no good if you find out afterwards)
  4. Metamask has worked great for me, but it also drives me nuts that I have to manually add tokens, just like with Coinomi. I manually check what my token balances are from ethplorer.io then capture the contract address to add to Metamask (you can just type name if it's a well known one)
  5. It's hard to be consistent, but there are some big finds. I suggest starting with Coinbase Earn (https://projectjourneyman.com/xlm) for over $150 just watching a few videos; after you tap out the easy resources it's harder to make consistent money without investing what you have and taking risks.
  6. The "cloud mining" apps won't, because they don't use CPU of phone. CPU miners can keep phone hot for a long period and might be dangerous. There are no known profitable CPU miners on mobile devices right now that I'm aware of.
  7. Blockfolio is great, in no small part because the team is responsive. It had a lot of tokens I wanted to track that Delta was just missing, and when I asked to add a new one it happened very quickly. They even have a voting process to add new coins/tokens, exchanges, and other features. So you can ask a community to join in asking and get it prioritized.
  8. Should this thread be removed if the topic is a potential scam and no supporting information has been (or apparently will be) provided? Many of us know to be skeptical but we still don't need to put a permanent promotion up...
  9. To clear up a few misconceptions: 1. Electroneum doesn't do any computation on the phone, it does "cloud mining" now. 2. Withdrawal does work for some, I was able to withdraw to KuCoin with no problems. Perhaps the issue people saw is that you cannot access your "earnings" until you pass 100 ETN, that's when it is deposited into your wallet. Until then no you cannot withdraw or transfer it. The earning rate seems to have gone down since I first started, but its still going.
  10. I currently do "cloud mining" on my phone, which basically means you just check in daily or every few days and keep earning without your phone doing the work. For that, I suggest Electroneum and Pi. There *is* an interesting mining option directly through the web browser, at miner.nimiq.com. I thought it was an awesome benchmark tool to see how fast my tablet and phone were vs. my laptop (about 1/10 as fast). Nothing to install, so it's an easy way to estimate how fast a phone is.
  11. I've had great luck with Uniswap.exchange. It's dead simple and perfect for unloading small token holdings that you don't want to spend a lot of time on (opening new accounts, etc). If it doesn't have something you want, you can add it easily. Unfortunately it requires liquidity to make trades though. It doesn't have everything, but if it has your token it's very simple and often my first check.
  12. BTC withdrawal from many exchanges is higher than almost all other currency, because they're capitalizing on BTC maximalists. If you're buying alts you're in better shape. Perhaps an alternative is to use KuCoin or Coinbase to convert those alts to BTC if you want to hold your BTC in your own wallet. (Coinbase charges higher fees to exchange, but nothing to withdraw)
  13. I actually use Coinbase and like it, but ONLY their "Pro"option with lower fees. If you have a CB account, you have a CB pro account with the same login. Use it for much better exchange rates and less hidden fees.
