From my knowledge a hard fork is the original asset being split into two other assets, the purpose is to make a new coin that has better functioning than the old one, like the transaction speed they handle, how fast they transaction is confirmed. As other members have already mentioned the halving is completely different from a hard fork, since the first one has established a time for it to happen and it will cu tin half the reward for miners every four years.

 -          With a soft fork, the two versions of the software are meant to be compatible.

So both fork types create two different versions of the software (and therefore two different versions of the blockchain and two different versions of the coin AKA token), but a hard fork is meant to create two incompatible blockchains/tokens, while a soft fork creates two compatible versions of the software and token.

Hello, from what I understand a hard fork is when they take out a new cryptocurrency that is in the same chain of the blockchain, which is divided in two or it will be thrown in two different ways that is what I think if I am wrong that some more expert person than me to correct myself

In my opinion A hard thorn is basically when a crypto is divided into two and they work on the same network. It's not necessarily that traffic is divided into two parts, but it's like a crypto that's based on another one and you can usually see it by matching their name. Hard fork are backward incompatible software updates. Typically, these occur when nodes add new rules in a way that conflict with the rules of old nodes. New nodes can only communicate with others that operates the new version....

Dear @Ch Ayyan thanks for sharing the new topic in the for me as well as many others members who don't know about this.

During my search I get to know that what is fork. There are basically two kinds of fork that are following

1. Hard Fork (it is not compatible when make changes in a Coin)

2. Soft Fork (it is compatible when make changes in a Coin)

The hard fork is not just a bit of a change, it is a real split in the chain. As the blockchain has been updated and a new copy has been entered, and two copies of the chain are created, an original and an updated version that differs from it in the way of verifying the blocks. Thus, the two series will be radically different after the hard fork.

A tricky fork is all in all after one of the crypto splits in two and they are effective of the equivalent net It is not automatically that the passage splits in two but its extra like a crypto that is based.
