I think if we create less but informative and useful  topics., it will be better than those topics which are not useful.  So., don't  think about the number of topics if you want more reputation. Think about useful content.  Always make useful content if you want more good reputation.

Yes exactly topics get more reputation then comment on a post. But the thing is that your topic must be relevant and informative then it will get good reputation otherwise it will be deleted by administrators.

Yes you are right most of the reputation comes from topics but if you post good content you will get good reparation if you don't make any topics . So make good and informative content and get reputation.
