The difference between private key and a public key

Recommended Posts

I think it's ok to use difficult or technical words in your posts, but that depends on where you actually post them. For example, I think in the "for beginners" topics you should avoid using them, but if you do - just spend a few words to explain them.

This is true, it must be so, because the purpose of the forum is to gain experience in the field of cryptocurrencies, so the idea must be communicated in simple language that everyone can understand and pass on to others.

Although I agree that the topics should be handled in an easy and understandable language, it is also true that most of the time when talking about the world of crypto currencies, it is impossible to handle everything with ease. There are technical languages that if not handled properly can cause more confusion than if an easy to understand one is used, this because not everyone, nor all pages (In case you want to enter the world of cryptos ) They will get to keep things simple.

The public key does not matter if anyone is aware of it and does not affect it, but the private key must be preserved and kept secret and not to allow anyone to view it in order to avoid the occurrence of theft and loss of money.

The public key combined with a private key helps keep user balances safe in the digital system. As the term "public" suggests, a public key is a unique personal address shared in the blockchain that anyone can see, while a private key acts like a password which should only remain your own.

Thank you friend, for sharing this useful information with all the members of this forum, you are right, we must be careful with the keys in our wallet, we must secure them very well, because if we do not, we could lose our money.

The public key is the code that we use to transfer money from one wallet to another, and we can give it to other people without posing any risk to our money. As for the private key, it is dedicated to our personal account for the wallet and therefore everything we own is subject to this code and we must not give it to anyone

I know that the public key can be shared on the sites so that the currencies are sent to our wallet address, either the private key should not be shared with unknown people or sites even if it is for encryption because this private key is the one that enters us into our wallet and thus can be hacked so we have to Caution differentiate between public and private keys.

It is a good explanation so that we can differentiate between the public key and our private key. I agree with you. You should not tell anyone about our password or the information we have so that we are not stolen.

Thank you for submitting this post because I noticed that many beginners cannot distinguish between private keys and public keys, and this makes them vulnerable to fraud, especially when participating in airdrops, which asks them to present their keys and promises to provide them with some cryptocurrencies.

Thanks mate for providing these guidelines. We should always keep our private key in high security. It is because if we lost our key then anyone get access to our account and wallets.

We must keep the keys to our wallets in a safe place out of anyone's reach and avoid sharing our personal information with anyone in order to maintain the security of our money and accounts.

Yes, like that, it is a trust’s wallet. The public key is the one that we copy when we want to receive a currency. As for the private key, it is the words that we saved when we registered that wallet.

The keys that can be used by anyone and are used to receive coins are known as public keys. Private keys, on the other hand, are keys that you cannot reveal to someone because they are yours alone. It's what you use to get into your pocket.

The private key is not shared, it must be secure and kept secret. The public key can be delivered to any recipient, it should not be secret since several people can use it.

The private key is a key that you must keep and don't let other people find out, this is a very secret wallet key. If you lose the key, all the funds in your wallet will be lost. The public key is a wallet address that serves as your wallet withdrawal address, the wallet address can be known by anyone because it is public. We need to know the basics about cryptocurrency so we can differentiate between a wallet address and a private key.

This is an important information that everyone should pay attention to, especially beginners, in order to know the difference between public and private keys and to keep their private keys for themselves away from others so that they do not fall victim to fraud.

Each person has his own security key that we can use to unlock or access our wallet, and we must know it and not forget this key because forgetting this key will cause us to lose our money in the wallet
