$7000 fine for using supercomputer to mine bitcoin

Recommended Posts

It is true that the guy and his friends did something bad , and broke the law by taking advantage of the office item for personal purpose , but in spite of that I think the fine that he was charged is way too much , seven thousand Dollar can buy more than three office computers, and I do not think that he earned more than few Satoshies, I feel sorry for the guy.

It is not the right of anyone to use the public appliances or office ones for his own interest. I think he deserves to be punished. And if this employee is so keen on mining , he can do it at home with his own computer, but I guess he already knows that mining can harm your device so he does not want to take risks with his own. It is strange how some people are greedy and inconsiderate of others property.

Now a days people are becoming very much interested about crypto and they should be polite about crypto using. To using super computer is a very good and best idea for mining and you will get the high amount of money in crypto. Supercomputers are mostly seen in top research centers in the world with restrictions to its users. It’s speed gives the users advantage over other miners.I hope they were able to mine more than 7000$ lol. If not, it wasn't worth it.

He deserves it . Although it is good to obtain digital currencies through mining, the privacy of others should not be violated for this .

@Rozy I think this punishment is so heavy as a deterrent and warning in other cases. We continuously receive information about computer & electrical use cases of companies, schools, hospitals... to mine crypto. I am not sure how much profit it would bring, but it is illegal and carries risks to the participants.
It would be better if they could find another job and invest in crypto in the future.
