First you have to check the backround of the Coin. For example. Who are the Founders? What did the founders do in the past? Did they have any other proyect  related to criptocurrencies in the past? Did they have succes in the past? You have to check videos, interviews with the founders. What is the basement of the coin? So you will have to make sure that it is worth investing in xxx coin. It takes time to search before investing.
