To me i prefer gaining experience to rank, while undergoing different research you tend to gain note experience about things you do not know and it might be of great help to you in the future. Rank on the other hand won't give you more experience but you will be feeling been at the top which might later being about jealousy

I don't think so that rank and experience is the same thing. The experience you gain while learning , reading and having much knowledge to writtup about any topic or create a topic by your own. But the rank is like jumping from stage to other without having any knowledge and experience just by making posts daily don't know what you are writing and on what topic you are writing. before getting any rank we must have experience before
