MyEtherWallet(MEW) has enabled ETH2 staking!

Recommended Posts

It can be a piece of good news for every MEW users because MEW has just enabled Ethereum 2.0 staking features on their mobile apps. Now users have to upgrade the app to the latest version. After that, it allows users to stake ETH from 32ETH to the max 2048ETH. Your ETH staking helps the Ethereum blockchain network to reward you for running a validator node.

If you are new to the MEW but wish to participate in ETH2 staking, this topic can be helpful for you. So follow me stepwise!
The MEW app is available for both Android and iOS users. In this topic, I am talking about an Android-based app but you can find the link to download the iOS-based app in the references.
Android user, check this
LINK  to the PlayStore.

After installation of the app, create your wallet and make sure you have carefully backed up secret phrases.

Now check the two leaves icon as shown in the screenshot and if you do not have at least 32 plus(Fee is also required and it is extra so deposit at least 33ETH) ETH in your wallet.

Click on the banner seen on the next screen.

After that click on "START STAKING"

Now it gives you several options to initiate the staking.

Good luck😉

etherum from 32 etherum to 2048 etherum

It is an excellent opportunity created by ETH2 PoS upgrade for bigger ETH holders to run their own validator nodes to expect the rewards from block. Staking service was highly anticipated even on popular platform like MEW and eventually, it is here now. Smaller investors should not get worried as rocket pools might help them to get a portion of total block reward.

Great article with details as always 🙏. And as the service is  non-custodial who wants easy passive earning and can hodl Ethereum for longer time, it's great. Way for staking.

13% Apr seems pretty fair for ethereum and within 2years after phase 2.0 completed the rewards will be morw than expected as with such great development on going ethereum seems to go to the next level with these progress.

In my opinion, wallet do not benefit so much from a rate. Because he has something to say about himself and when his mind is made by your slave, then there is something else coming out of it.

I am searching for pools to stake my 1.5 ETH and I do not mind for locking ETH for multiple years. If some good platforms are over there, I am interested to be a part of ETH 2.0 . Binance has also announced to support ETH 2.0 staking and I need to check it if they have enabled the chance for me like small asset users to split block rewards later.

Good article friend and good to see this opportunity on MyEther wallet. A lot of holders will be willing to stake including small amount holders and investors. Annual percentage rate of 13.82% looks decent too but less profitable for some of us having less than 32 ETH to stake. Good luck to those of you who will become full validators.

I have been expecting the staking pool like I have been doing for Cardano ADA. If Rocket pools enables staking for small investors to split the block rewards equally, it will be the best for all of us. Myself, I am unable to stake 32 ETH on MEW wallet but bigger holders of ETH are more likely to grab the more benefits.

We really expect that for more options. 32 ETH is almost not feasible for the majority and I read it is very possible for small investors to stake Ethereum in ETH 2.0 though they only get chance of earning more with 32 and becoming a full validator. The more staking amount, the higher the return.

That 32ETH is needed to run the validator node and 32 ETH is determined in order to secure the blockchain so that random users can not run validator nodes to rush away later. Multi year locking is also adjusted in ETH 2.0 ! All these things were done for the smooth operations.

I expect to see some biggest pools to allow users to stake the small ETH amounts soon and it is possible.

It's definitely a smart move by the Ethereum 2.0 developers. A 32 ETH investors/user can't be a random user though they can prefer to stake solo or run a validator. In each case, there will be rewards; one might be more than the other.

There are already services I have seen to stake less than 32 ETH which it will added to pools. Not sure of most of the reputations. Hence, I am quite patient.

Yes brother. There was already a huge efforts from the developer that's why they determined the different Phases to aim the full Ethereum blockchain network. Signs are looking good as more than 1B worth of ETH is already into the multi year locking in the Beacon chain.

I have been also waiting for the good staking pool and at least I can afford to stake 6 ETH to expect the block rewards.

Planning to stake much less than that but so long as I am planning to do that across next year, it would be great. 6 ETH is a decent amount bro. Good luck.

Oh yes. I read that at launch, there was more than 70% staked ETH more than expected at launch, so crazy and it shows how determined lots of investors are willing to lock their ETH for more. An avenue for less holder like ours to stake is much more than icing on the cake and it is quite inevitable.

They were purchased under $100 and hold on hardware wallet without altering. Now ETH is also heading to the another ATH by breaking the resistance so despite a raise or fall in the price of ETH, block reward will be always the profit.

Yes my brother. I think all phases to upgrade Ethereum blockchain network will sooner than its anticipated duration,I guess.

Wow. That's huge. I held some few also (approx 2 ETH) when I purchased around $300. Held it for more than 3 months and later invested in DeFi currencies (still locked). The biggest gift ETH 2.0 can give to me personally is its massive effect on DeFi markets and also partly in staking as more than 50% of my portfolio is DeFi based.

Thanks for this information. In future I hope i will be work on this. But i don't know about that before. But know i am thank full to you.

Can you afford to stake 32ETH ? If yes, you can get the block rewards from the staking ETH for multi years.

A commendable and still required update now it would be simpler for the clients to handily utilize it on Android just as on iOS .eth2 is an awesome update

You just need to update your wallet to the latest version depending on device you are currently using. There is staking option as I have shown in the screenshots in my topic. Make sure you have extra ETH to cover the network fee while initiating the staking.
