I think the repetition of topics is caused by the newbies, I mean the newbies might have now ideas on the previous topics that has been look into by the old members,. They just repeat same question, I don't blame them dou, because they have no idea the topic has been treated.

The number of new posts becomes less because most new posts are deleted by moderators because they are similar to old topics in the forum, so members tend to write comments only instead of making new posts and they are deleted.

Actually, this is bad as there are more than 300,000 members in the forum and we only find a few new posts per day.  I know that not all members are active, but if there are only 10,000 active members and each member creates a new post, then we will have 10,000 new members in the forum, and this is enough to keep the forum active for weeks.  We have to start writing new posts.
