Here you can read is an interview with Cartesi project adviser Sergey Popov, in which he shares his vision on the cryptocurrencies. He sais that initially the Cartesi project was conceived as trustless marketplace for data scientists, but then there came the conclusion that this technology will be able to solve a wider range of tasks. The Cartesi environment will allow even non-blockchain developers to create their decentralized applications that will be compatible with other blockchains.

Newfang and Cartesi are engaging together to explore the integration of each other’s technology. Newfang will study using Cartesi as a computational layer on top of Newfang’s storage system. In addition, Cartesi will look to support Newfang as a decentralized file-sharing system.

We’re excited to announce Cartesi is partnering up with GoBlock on a DeFi project applied to energy markets. The system developed by GoBlock is an Ethereum-based Exchange for Energy Derivatives Contracts. It allows for cascaded energy futures contracts to be traded on the blockchain in a secure and transparent way, with counterpart risk mitigation mechanisms.
