Is Bitcoin mining bad for your computer?

Recommended Posts

If our computers have Intel Core i5 processors and good graphics, then removing Bitcoins would not be a bad thing for our computers. In this case mining for Bitcoin 2013 mobile devices is possible, but now Minor is trying to destroy the Bitcoin block and there are more competitions every day. It showed that many people are still trying to break that block with the Core i9 processor.

Mining will be harmful to the computer without the use of mining devices because mining leads to overheating of the processor and an increase in computer damage, so it needs special devices.

I guess if the computer was core I5 Intel processor and good graphics card, but the cases is, in 2014 the Bitcoin mining will possible for mobile, but now the mining user try to break the law of Bitcoin and its has a more competition in day by day. Thanks.

@Abubakar0024 you are right and it is possible to damage your computer by mining in the following ways:

the computer will degrade more, as it is used more (you will have to replace it sooner than normally)

the computer will overheat and some components will fail because of that (if for example, the computer is dusty. If the parts are well-maintained and the computer is not boxed in, this shouldn't be the issue)

you will overload some part of your computer with the mining and it will short circuit or blow a fuse (mostly relevant if your power supply is weak, this happened to me once)

Yes but you will end up loosing your computer because you're just overheating the computer in which you won't gain anything profitable from, and end paying a huge amount for electricity.

I don't actually think and believe in your conclusion mate.

It will not directly or indirectly harm your computers system and even if it should cause harm or effect to the system, it will just be for a main time as the system is artificially accurate or accuracy in nature.

Yes, it also consumes a lot of memory and power, don't run bitcoin mining on your computer. Try some other currencies that are easy for me on PC without any problems.

I do not think bitcoin mining will consume memories on computers, what is just bad about it is that mining on computer is not profitable. Like if you are using latest computer to mine bitcoin for example, you will not earn up to 0.001 btc in a while year. That is just not good and the reason people do not mine on PC again.

I think it's in the hands of the whole website. If there is a problem with a website, it is harmful to the computer. And since the sites are used by many people at once, the virus from one device can easily spread to another.

Mining BTC on computers is very expensive and costly specially it overheat your computer. And the rate of mining is also very low. That's why people prefer to earn instead of mining. In some countries mining is also prohibited as it is costs to much electricity.

Bitcoin mining is slow and complex to mine and require processing power to left the heavy load. It is possible that mining can demage your computer. The computer may be heatup because of the more load. The conputer can be fail during the process.

Bitcoin mining is not slow and complex but needs experience and cheap electricity, if these are done, others will be easy. Only bitcoin mining difficulty is increasing while the reward is reducing which makes the profit to reduce.

Mining is a very interesting topic, but mining on your personal pc is a risky business. It is much better if you separately create your own mining farm and start it to mine you bitcoin or ethereum

Mining is not easy and difficult but it is not necessary to have a mining farm before mining, you can connect GPU or ASIC in grid to form a rig. Then you will connect it to a mining pool if the funds to start a mining farm is not attainable.

The answer is yes because we don't get any profit by mining bitcoin on computer but we get huge loss because bitcoin mining requires strong hardware, which means you need to get good hash to dig bitcoin.  It can also heat up and damage the computer. Bitcoin mining is not bad for your computer, but there is one thing you should probably consider when starting your bitcoin mining journey: the process consumes a lot of computing power.  You need an ASIC Minor to turn a profit. Thank you.

Yes sir, bitcoin mining can prove harmful to your computer.Bitcoin mining office pressures the computer and both your computer software and hardware can be damaged. So you need to update your computer's software and hardware before you start a bitcoin mining on computer.

I would say that if you have a free electricity, the only bad thing about mining is that you really spend a lot of money on electricity, so if you have free electricity, mining will be profitable for you.  But if you want to make more profit, these bitcoins are your trade to me.  Mining difficulties are also decreasing.  Which means there should be a good profit, especially for wetcoin mining like LTC.  I think and the weights sold last year are going $ 26- $ 30 happily and have seen 5x in the months that followed.  I see the same thing happen.  When it comes to BTC mining.  The energy required to generate any meaningful amount makes it difficult for the average person to mine.  But the United States is investing heavily in what will become the largest mining farm.  So if they think they can pay for it, we can take it away from the dead.

Yes, the computer will certainly overheat when we start bitcoin mining on computer ,Causing irreversible damage to your hardware. There is no point in mining bitcoin with your home computer. To mine bitcoin you need an ASIC machine. As bitcoin mining is not for the computer because it takes all the computing power and the it must result in damaging the computer

Although bitcoin mining makes computer hot and can make it work more than usual, that is why it is not good to use it also because the computer bitcoin mining is not profitable at all. But the main reason why computers are no more used for mining again is because of increased mining difficulties that computers can not handle to mine profitably.

Well, I just started cryptotalk and I have not yet get my self acquinted to minings and all that, bit I think that I did mine some coins before specifically Pi, the only thing I do every day is just press the mine button after every 24 hours. So I don't think that is enough to damage my phone

Yes, this is true, Bitcoin mining needs a very high hash, and the hash generated by the private mining device above is hundreds of thousands of times the hash that the home computer generates, so you will not be able to make a good profit in addition to your computer will crash with the days.

@Anjuma hoque

You need to let us know the andriod phone you are using, also the app you are mining from. Hope not a cloud mining site that you have not even withdrawn but thinking you will make profit from? Because phone mining is not profitable. Never comment on what you do not know or you will be given negative reaction.

If I'm not mistaken, the only coin that is currently profitable to mine with a computer without it dying on the road is monero (XMR) thanks to the fact that it does not demand so much and the software used has a self limiting device that always stops the miner. in case of overheating or energy problems.

I don't think that bitcoin mining is harmful to our personal computers in any way unless we also mine malware or any other type of viruses with bitcoins.

There is also a solution for that. We should do safe mining and a system like ASIC machine should be adjusted for the safety.

Bitcoin mining on home computer has never been better because it can create a lot of problems for you even if you use some authentic software you may face some problems which happens. It can easily break down if you do not create favorable conditions for it.  Therefore, I believe that on a personal computer you should not be involved in mining, it is not for that.

Bitcoin mining is not bad for computers but it can not be used because it is not a way we can make profit, instead, we can use ASIC to mine. Mining is profitable but it require miners that are very stronger than using computer.

You can't mine with your CPU anymore, for many years since the advancement of ASIC mining hardware the mining in bitcoin is done using these machines. Not even one miner will be able to mine a block. Also having the CPU running at maximum will damage it and other parts of your hardware.

To mine, you need to have a special system that will be ready for such loads. Still, how many video cards and motherboards were burned by those who tried to save on components. And your personal PC certainly should not be used for these purposes, tomorrow you will wake up, and he died.

On BTC mining, the difficulty is very high because there is many people using powerfull hardware in competition... so, I don't directly agree that it will damage your computer, as it depends a lot on the computer, but it will be mining, so it will be running almost max resources and you won't be getting anything worth for it...

Why will computer be used to min bitcoin, it is not good at all, some people will be thinking phones can be used for mining too, it is not also good. They are both not good for mining because they re waste of time.
