Cold wallets are the best for holding, not one of the best. Online wallets are for frequent transactions while holding small amount of money can be good also. But for recommendation, cold wallet are to be used for holding, no other wallet for that purpose.

To use the private key one is better, but I will not ad ice people to use coinbase if they need privacy because many will end up downloading or using the coinbase wallet that has no private key which is the most common.
