Binary options prohibited in Europe, why?

Recommended Posts

Binary options are claimed to be "inherently risky and complex products and are often traded speculatively." Both ESMA and several competent national authorities (NCAs), the DO document continues, "have observed that the supply of these products has been increasingly characterized by aggressive marketing techniques, as well as a lack of transparent information" . The number of retail client trading accounts of CFD and binary options providers based in the EEA was estimated to have increased from 1.5 million in 2015 to 2.2 million in 2017. Also, almost all NCAs noted that there are providers of binary options, with passports from other member states, that are offering services in their jurisdictions. Fair or not? We don't know, but what we do know is that many traders lost their money, perhaps the investment of a lifetime. So it has not been easy for them. Hopefully the investigation will continue and change their mind.

It is accepted that such option transactions, where there is no control in the European Union, operate entirely with the logic of gambling and the profit margin for those who have this transaction is at the level of 85-90%. It is emphasized that the application marketed as 'binary options' is offered independently of options and by imitating options, and the possibility of being a real option in the background is extremely low.

In my opinion, there are serious inconsistencies in the pricing of binary options compared to regular options. Sudden increases and decreases in price movements cause grievances.

Factsheet: "What are Binary Options?"

Binary options transactions made through websites are based on the logic of investing in a currency exchange rate or that a commodity will move within a certain time and within certain limits (lower and upper).

For example, an investor buys the option that the traded dollar rate will not exceed that dollar rate and fall below that dollar rate within a certain period (such as half an hour, 1 hour, 5 hours, 1 day). If the exchange rate stays within the specified lower and upper limit during the period of the option, the investor wins, otherwise he loses.

To me binary options are prohibited over there because of the following reasons, maybe these depends on how people use it over there either positively or negatively, it seems not to have a very strong security system in of it operations and to avoid failure it has to be banned for use.

Crypto also is prohibited in some countries although people from those countries are still using crypto illegally, so I don't know about if Europe restricted from binary option, will the citizens from Europe still be able to using the binary option trading illegally?

I don't know why that trading is prohibited in the Arab but if it is so there must be some solid reasons behind that because the cryptocurrency trading and forex trading is one of the most effective ways to make money online

Of course it is the best and easy way of making money online but the governments they don't want people to earn money easy and also governments they need all things people do to benefit the government.

Honestly there are many people who believe that binary options will make them millionaires overnight, so they take it as a gamble and that is why many countries do not take it into account. In Europe many people have lost money because they are not regulated there, so they do not take them into account. So like everything else, if you study and have the right education you can get a lot of profit.

Binary as binary is not a foreign exchange, so that's it will not be having the benefit from the country but only the binary platform got profit while Europe people are losing in binary so that's might be collapsing the Europe economic.

It is like gambling, it is mostly traded upon lucky, so I think that it was reasonable to get banned, otherwise they should register it as gambling.

I guess it is because binary option is like gambling and online gambling is prohibited in some countries, even the US. If you look at it, in most of the trades made in binary option trading sites they are done without analysis.
