The short answer is yes. The regulations vary from country to country, but you can expect to see national financial regulators interested in Litecoin and other virtual currencies, possibly alongside state-level regional regulators.

I would say LTC (as well as any other crypto)  could not be either legal or illegal. A government doesn't mint these coins, so they are just unable to control it's cash flow somehow.
You need just pc and internet access to use crypto, don't need government's license or something like this. In hex code crypto transaction looks the same like a message you send to a friend in facebook or other messenger. So, who can restrict you to use?
They may restrict you in exchange crypto to local fiat. But that is all.

If we go to legal terms, no cryptocurrency is legal, because they are digital assets that have no control on the part of the government and that is one of the main problems that in many countries the use of cryptocurrencies is prohibited, not especially Litecoin, but all, taking into account their high risk and the ease with which people can be fooled , as well as Ponzi's schema business, with the difference that cryptocurrencies are the reward acquired for some work done, whether service or even mining, and although many businesses worldwide are accepting payment of their products with cryptocurrencies, it does not mean that they are legal in court.

It is no different from any other cryptocurrency. It's just that different countries have different rules associated with this, and that's all.

Actually Litecoin and other cryptocurrencies are legal and can be converted into fiat in any country. It's just that every country has its own rules regarding the use of cryptocurrency, so each country must be different. There are also countries that do not regulate cryptocurrency, but also do not prohibit it, but we can still transact and convert to fiat.

All about Litecoin, the rival cryptocurrency of Bitcoin. Despite the fact that cryptocurrencies have a reputation for being used on the dark web for drug and other transactions, a growing number of legitimate and legal stores accept Litecoin as legal tender.

Litecoin just like other crypto currencies faces this question of legality. The case of legality would depend on who, which instution or which regulatory body and which country. In some countries crypto is legal while in some it is illegal.

However note that for those that have embraced crypto, LTC is legal.

I personally like their chain. Quite FAST & CHEAP

It depends on the country, if in any country, any coin is legal there will be no possibility for the other coin to be illegal so it will be legal in the country where btc is legal.

It is not only about litecoin, this is general for any cyptocurrency, it is something burning and interesting because online payment means concern us all, in that sense they are not legal because they are not subject to any State or nation, much less to their respective or particular laws, nor to groups of nations; They are not taxed as they are not real, tangible money, recorded in a bank for example.

We go to detail, the value rises and people wonder how it is controlled, how to make them contribute to the respective economies; However, any concept of control or taxation is still vaporous. The true transforming power of bitcoin is not in the speculative bubble that can take it to unimaginable prices, it lies in that, which is the network, the group of stakeholders who manage and They manage the process, it does not require voracious or wasteful governments to manage or squander funds. Despite the money trail, reaching its source is important for government agencies, especially those involved in drug trafficking, money laundering and other illicit activities, as there is not a single company or company that faces or centralizes the handling of this currency, the matter becomes complex and more if it were to close the network. Let's say the weak link in the process would be when virtual money is exchanged for real money, something that can happen anywhere in the world and for any type of international currency. It is also tedious to handle.

But just as there will be those who defend the system as a way to get funds to pro-democracy groups or defenders of human rights in totalitarian regimes, this same condition could serve to finance extremist groups.
Technology generally does not take a moral stand, it puts the tools in place and each person decides what to do with them and how far they go.
Now, the legal status of the litecoin of bitcoin or any crypto varies from country to country. In many states there is no legislation in this regard, in others it has. Most countries do not use bitcoin as it is considered illegal (outside the law). But it is only a sham because to date they accept it under the table, since some allow its explicit use and trade while others prohibit it outright.

Although its value is not much, it is believed that later it will probably be worth much more than it costs today

Whether a coin is legal or illegal basically depends on legal regulations. e.g. Bitcoin is an official currency in Germany. Litecoin, on the other hand, does not. Nevertheless, it is traded on all stock exchanges known to me and is generally accepted. Therefore it is a legal coin for me personally.

I’m not sure why litecoin is being singled out from other cryptocurrencies but cryptocurrencies are not illegal, it is just new technology that had only come to existence in 2009 when bitcoin was created hence there is a lack of regulation by counties or governments over it which may had prompt some misconception that cryptocurrency are not legal.
