Contest proposal: Stand-alone SMV (Soft Majority Voting)

The SMV is currently part of the larger monolithic BFTG system. We need to separate the SMV subsystem as a separate module in order to make the SMV usable as a stand-alone system and to make the SMV integrable with other systems. This is necessary, for example, for making decisions in a bridge, distributing reserved domains in DeNS, or for formal review. It is necessary to redesign the existing system so that the SMV is not tightly integrated into it.

The DeBot platform consists of the following elements:

• DeBot smart contract;
• DeBot browser;
• Target smart contract(s)

One target smart contract can have several DeBots. DeBot is deployed to the blockchain. To run a DeBot it must be downloaded to the client and executed inside the DeBot browser instance.

The main communication unit between the browser and DeBot is Action. When the browser wants to call DeBot it must execute Action. When DeBot returns a result, it is also a set of actions.

Action contains a description, name, type, id, current step and context.

Classification of Blockchain Projects
Before comparing the TON Blockchain with existing and proposed blockchain projects, we must introduce a sufficiently general classification of blockchain projects.

The list of criteria is the following:

• Single-blockchain vs. multi-blockchain architecture
• Consensus algorithm: Proof-of-Stake vs. Proof-of-Work
• For Proof-of-Stake systems, the exact block generation, validation and consensus algorithm used (the two principal options are DPOS vs. BFT)
• Support for "arbitrary" (Turing-complete) smart contracts

Multi-blockchain systems have additional classification criteria:

• Type and rules of member blockchains: homogeneous, heterogeneous, mixed. Confederations.
• Absence or presence of a masterchain, internal or external
• Native support for sharding. Static or dynamic sharding.
• Interaction between member blockchains: loosely-coupled and tightly-coupled systems
