We should always be careful @ETheHedgehog in this cryptoworld. Cryptoworld is not a place to make some mistakes because it can not be fixed or reversed. So always take a course of what you are doing in crypto world to safe yourself from this sort of mistakes.

Totally agree with your words the crypto market is not a place to make mistakes we should be very careful before making any translation and always check before  make a transaction  because if you right 1 letter wrong you can lose you transaction.

a while back, someone made a mistake while making a transaction, he sent 0.55 ETH with a transaction fee of a little under 10700 ETH, which was around 2.6$ million at the time to send 134$ worth of ETH, you can read more about the story here : https://mashable.com/article/million-cryptocurrency-ethereum-fee-paid-by-mistake/ .

My question to you would be what would you do if this happened to you, would you quit the crypto business entirely? or would you consider it a lesson to always double and triple check the numbers in a transaction and try to find some way to recover anything of what's lost?

I feel sympathy for the victim that is the reason why we should double check the address of the recipient before we make any transaction no doubt he has lost a huge amount of money which will be difficult to recover . Now getting back to your question if I were I his shoes I will not quit the crypto bussiness entirely I will accept it as a faith and I will not give up I will still continue with my job who knows weather I will earn something worth more than what I loss in the future.

The address is to make sure the address is correct so that I don't make the same mistake again.  You can’t give up if that business happens because it becomes a lifelong job.

It's hard thing  but I will make it a lesson for me. I will check transaction gas carefully in any transaction in future.

I am sorry but how can you pay $2.3 millions while sending eth? Who can make you pay that amount? What is more I think this is illegal

I think that man who made this transaction has much money and the  2.6 million dollar will not be something for him because how someone can't notice this amount when he send I think he intended to make it because no wallet can make atomic fee with this high

It ´s is extremenly import to verify all digits in a cripto transanction. If it happens to me, I will calm down and then I will take a deep breath and make a big scream. This is the real importance of these chats we can learn much more than just concepts, but we also learn from others experiences.

Oh that's really bad. I'm sure this person lived bad days. I heard about it before, but I think he was trying to send 10,000 Eth to someone, but he made this amount a fee for the transfer by mistake.

I would try to recover what was lost but it would be impossible. What was lost was lost. If I would return to cryptos. I would leave a mark and never speak of them again.

Personally , I used to  be very  dissappointed. But as soon as  possible , I would  go to work to  make up for  this damage  .  When similar  incidents happened  to me  before ,  I went  on like this . Friends are  solved  for the loss  , but we need to  look ahead  . We have to  strive for  more profit .

Personally I would take it as a lesson to always see and check what I do, if I lose that the first thing I do is strengthen my mind and always be positive, check what I do and try to recover what I lost

Greetings .. It would be a very strong blow to my self-esteem, I would really recap whether or not to continue in crypto, since the money that was lost is not a small thing .. Given this, it is better to check again and again if necessary to confirm an operation. There are many cases of what happened.

If that would happen to me I would be sad and disappointed of course and I tell you the truth: I would have trouble getting over it because it is a colossal sum that I just lost there. But I wouldn't leave the crypto world. That's life and it could happen to anyone.

I think I would just be happy that I was already super rich. Anyone with 10700 Eth must be insanely rich and could probably live with it a lot easier than most of us.
