A few things to notice here. First, 2017 is the third largest bitcoin year. The 2010 and 2013 earnings were much more dramatic in percentage terms (BTC / USD). Although it would be correct to say that Bitcoin's $ 16,000 profit in 2017 was its best so far in terms of dollar value.

Second, in the least volatile year of bitcoin (2015), the cryptocurrency "only" added 42% (BTC / USD). I wrote earlier that while bitcoin's amazing move was driven primarily by speculators, volatility remains one of the biggest obstacles to bitcoin achieving widespread acceptance as a currency. After all, if you're saving up for a major purchase, who wants to leave their money in a currency that can literally cost half as much a year (Hey, this happened in 2014).

I agree that 2017 can be called the most magical and extraordinary year for Bitcoin. But I also want to add that magic happened in 2020 too. After the incredible drop in Bitcoin in march due to the economic crisis, it recovered so quickly. And not only recovered, but began to cost almost 11 thousand dollars today.

yes this is really a amazing and magical coin for Bitcoin because Bitcoin touch a great value in market and invester got a huge amount of profit .

I think this kind of bull run again occur in market within some time.

You can call it magical. But if you look at new projects (especially Defi) you see the same trend line in a much shorter timeframe. You get the hype period followed by a downtrend. And afterwards the projects with real usecases start to rise again.

Bitcoin was a first mover, and noone really knew about it. Thats why I think the hype period came this late in 2017, while today it's almost there at listing of a project.

We have so many more people in this space now.

Will we see such a hype period again? I doubt it. That being said I still believe in a rising value of Bitcoin and the market in general.
