I think the first altcoin i got was XEM back in 2013-2014. First it has another name but later was rebranded and swaped. It was a nice profit back in days

IEOs can be safer cause exchanges work as an escrow, and afaik many exchanges are applying some rules before releasing the funds to devs

IMO the problem with the "stablecoins" is that actually needs to be backed up with something, otherwise its not "stable". What guarantees you that a 1$ stable coin will stay 1$ if its not backed up

Im wondering how much could be the total supply? although could be an interesting project if they build ICOs/IEOs around like with YO

IMO its not about the community or the reputation of shitcoins. Until people will make money with small low cap coins, these will not dissapear. And i dont say its a bad thing.
