China would simply issue a digital edition of the yuan. It would be centralized and fully controlled by their Central Bank. It will be commonly used in China, and the Chinese government will be able to spy on and trace any transaction made by their people. China does not want financial independence and does not accept bitcoin, so they developed their own version to regulate their people.
