Suggestion | Feature: Add quotes upon editing post

Recommended Posts

It's very easy in the pc but it's somehow difficult on the phone but one can go to edit and edit the post then you will also state the reason for you editing your post because there is a space where you are required to state your reason for editing your post or comments

I wish we could reply to the person posts directly without qouting that would be much better and good for communications in the forum

It would be great to have this feature as it helps us a lot to quote someone in our answers in case we forget them, hopefully the administrators will implement it soon in the not too distant future so that the forum continues to improve as time goes by.

We can update the post we mentioned and add another quote to the same material, and IIT is not a problem even though I'm on my phone. The white space in which we write our articles is actually helpful to me just because it allows me to control the text while also allowing me to quote and reduce the other message.

I'm sure if you try this then the problem was definitely resolved. The forum now is so good and there are so many features and this might not be an issue. You can add a toute on Making posts but I don't know if it's upon editing it

I actually think this problem has now been fixed by the forum and you can now modify your response to add quotes to it, personally that I do not use the quotation feature in the post.anywhere thanks for the post.

Thank you for this valuable sharing, my dear friend, I really agree with you, that this option would clarify the responses more and bring them together and make it easy for the reader to follow them. Supervisors should actually consider this matter

I think even if you add any quote in the new reply textbox, Then it's going to appear in the same reply. Because according to the rules of this forum consecutive replies by a single member are merged to make one post.

I am using the forum for a while now and one annoyance that comes to my experience is when I want to edit my reply to add quotes into it.

If you try to add quotes (Quote Selection) on edit mode (reply), it would place the quote on a New Reply textbox and not on the one you're editing.

What I suggest is, upon clicking Edit Reply, disable the New Reply textbox and instead, re-route all the functions to the Edit textbox. That way, we could add quotes without having to post another new reply, if they have the same context.

Thanks for this useful information my friend this information is really helpful and beneficial for all the members because this is a great feature of this platform which we should use st the time of asking directly something to the topic creater.

Looking at the recent new laws, I think that there is an opportunity for a simple amendment to the methods of communication in the forum and I think that your idea is good because it reduces time and improves the presentation of ideas instead of prolonging them

I think that a button should be added to edit the text or modify it because there are a lot of members who make unintended mistakes and are banned because of these errors, so the delete button is good for everyone

This is a very important note. The quotation is necessary to coordinate our participation, discuss specific ideas, and exchange views with the rest of the members.
