Airdrops and who to trust

I have been in the crypto-currencies space since 2016. I've signed up for so many airdrops over the years, Blockchain.com wallet gave me $35 dollars last year. Coinbase isn't my favorite wallet to use but received about $110 from them just recently. I mainly used coinbase to gain the airdrop coins then exchanged it for the currency I use the most. What I would not do for someone new to the space is google "airdrops" or "free bitcoin" and start signing up. 

 

Giving your phone number and email to random airdrops is a horrible idea and in my opinion the easiest way to be susceptible to hacks or stolen crypto-currencies. I try to only engage in airdrops from verified companies. It definitely drops the amount of free crypto you can receive but better safe than sorry. 

 

However I am not a big fan of coinbase. It is a company that has way more reliability than a airdrop from a google search.

I would never give ID to any airdrop, way too much risk. Giving non-primary email is basically risk free, I have one just for this purpose. Phone might be ok if its sms verification, it have some privacy threat, but its legetimate tool to combat multi-registrations. Installing app is out of question unless you trust that company.

 

Most important question always is: does airdrop make sense? If no than no thx, I will pass.

The airdrop sector died two years ago and was replaced by garbage coins.  ico founders use this method to attract people, collecting investment, and the value of coins distributed after the ico ends is measured with an infinite amount of zero.  I strongly recommend that you spend your time for more sensible things.

i got airdrops from yobit, actually it was air coins. which value was pretty high. 0.004 btc per coin. this is the first time i experienced airdrops by yobit. later on i claim another airdrop which is 100 doge coins from bithove. All the air drops are not scams.

Just setup wallets and an email address just for airdrops. Do not use your primary wallets or emails. In most cases you should be using multiple email addresses and passwords for different exchanges and actions just to ensure your own security.

This happens almost every sphere at the initial appearance of something is always normal, then worse. Most airdrop are used to cheat social networks and the coins that we are awarded in the end are worthless.

That's not truth. Airdrop section doesn't die buddy but airdrop is now like ICO and only if you know how to select the right airdrop

We simply can't afford to trust no one with our funds because many are scammers I think it's appropriate to search thoroughly about a particular company that deals with airdrop before investing in them so you don't lose your funds to them easily

I don't really care if the company needs my email as long as it's free... Airdrops means free money for me I just don't feel safe when a company wants my KYC for their shit airdrops feel the risk of giving your identity for a candy. When there is an announcement airdrop that needs our KYC it's automatically a scam.
