I don't really agree with you because I tried both and  they gave me great profits because it's totally depends on the currency you buy , for an example investing as a long term doesn't always gave you 1000% profits or a huge increase in price while in short term sometimes a currency may pump 20% several times in a period of time so it gives you great profit , and the opposite is true that short term can't give you 10x profits and so 

so the better is to trade as a short and long term to get the better profits
