According to my point of view the moderators lock the very old topics when there information and knowledge cannot help the other members . As we know there are many changes occur in the crypto world on the daily basis thats why the old topics and their information cannot help after the specific time. and I think that closing duplicate topics is better than eliminating them, taking into account the number of existing reputation

Actually I don't about locked topics. May be it have some reason for locking.

Agree with you! It is better to have locked but useful topic then having deleted one. Those topics which are discussed completely are locked by the forum moderators and most of the new members got worried about locked topic. You have explained well, why a topic gets locked. I consider that the moderators in compliance with the internal rules of crypto talk perform the blocking of posts, this could be due to many reasons, perhaps they are topics that are no longer relevant due to their age, I also consider that to give the platform interactivity they block highly commented topics, to invite people to create new content.

I think a topic that will lead to a heated debate between members can be locked, I remember when i wrote this topic "Russian section Vs English section" this topic sparked a heated debate and after several responses it was locked. Maybe there could be another reason for a topic to be locked but I just know that..

Personally, I have not yet come across any locked topics, but I think that a possible reason for the locking of these topics is because it is a very old topic which has already done its job and does not currently contribute any value to the forum so it will only be filling the forum with spam and meaningless answers.

Right the reason is that the question you asked is answered and the topic is important they don't need to deleted ,he content a very important information about the topic,this the big reason in my opinion as you say,about duplicate topic they will deleted directly because it's against the rules.

I think no one knows the exact reasons of blocking of some topic where it is mentioned that you can not reply this topic.

Brothers according to my personal opinion it blocked due to no value of topic, topic is repeated, topic have same replies from members. Admin can tell a main reason .

Yes friends, we are not able to comment on the locked  topic.Because we have permission only on the topic which are unlocked and we can work on this platform only by following that rule.

Yes, these are logical reasons that make the moderators lock topics because a large number of beginners comment on old topics that have been answered in advance.

I do not have an accurate answer to that, and as I mentioned you from the reasons may be the real reasons, and it is possible to abstract other reasons.
But there are no rules or publications that I have read that talk about the reasons for banning the publication and stopping its work.
