Yes, Tether is fixed to USD price and it is stablecoin. But we don't know if there is any equivalent for Tether. Therefore USDT is risky for long-term holding. No matter what it is advantageous to switch to USDT when trading on exchanges.

Well, it was reported that USDT is actually only backed by around 70% USD in the bank.That means buying USDT at dollar parity should be the same as throwing 30% of your money away.However, for some reason USDT still appears to be maintaining its dollar peg, but I've got no idea how. Regardless, as soon as I heard about USDT's fractional reserve, I converted everything I had into TUSD and USDC and never looked back. So no, I don't trust it anymore, and neither should you until they prove their reserves are 100% backed.

If you were in crypto in 2018, you may have heard of the scandal Tether was involved in. I wont talk about it but i will remember you that usdt lost around 10% of its value. What does that prove to us ? No crypto is safe from falling, invest, but not for the longterm, sooner or later it's safer to turn your crypto into fiat, so you can book your profits.

Я перевожу все деньги USDT, только когда отдыхаю от торговли,беру себе отпуск. Не считаю это инвестицией, скорее как остров безопасности, зная что с моими финансами ничего не случится и в любое время я могу их забрать.
