I think that is up to each of us to choose each publication to comment on, but let's be clear that we all have different points of view, my advice is that you comment on the topics that you see most important to you and give it a good rating.

We have to look the quality topic and write good comments and give good ratings. If the topics are low quality they have few comments and less rating. If we write any topics that helpful and useful to the people and we can get good reputation.

i really like to try my best to answer each topic i can to share my opinion , no matter how old it is and no matter how many replies are there. but there are some reasons why it is better to answer new posts because there are more chances that people will see you answer and more chances that people will rate it. so if you see a new post don't neglect answering it

I do not find a difference between the topics, I comment on the posts that I can comment on and understand them well, and I prefer that the topic is not recent publication because it is possible to delete it and with this matter delete my comment

If the post is useful and you have some views on it you should comment. I think it will be too hard to be deleted. But topics eith less replies, maybe people has seen that topic is useless. I prefer replying on topics that i find useful. I don't care if many or less reply it have. A very useful and educative contents that will do you and others some good.

I think your method is nice but we can't find post like that too many times. It's really hard to find less reply topic these days and all we can do is creating topic or commenting popular topic. Of course sometimes we can see less replied topics but most of them are useless and i don't wanna comment those topics.

Currently even i'm doing it in that manner. While we respond for posts that already have hundreds of replies for it makes our reply less precious .  Due to the fact something we are going to produce in that remark can also already have been stated earlier . Which makes it now not as powerful if we give replies to posts having lesser replies.

 I am replying on topics that i find useful. I don't care if many or less reply it have.  I comment in a post in which I have enough knowledge. Read the topic carefully. If It's good and helpful and reply on that.

Yes thats true, and when you are able to go to certain heights then the truth is you are able to know so many things that are going tor really define what is good, the topics with less replies makes it easy to see who did reply so and so and in the end we are all suppose to really be working as hard for it. So the truth is less replied topics are good because they attract more readers and a good post will earn you some good up votes.

Choosing the useful topics to comment on isn't easy as it sounds and we should really be aware about this issue.. there are many topics should be closed because they have discussed enough.. but there are some of them still have many informative things to talk about.. so the issue which you mentioned in your topics is really important and i think that most of us trying to do the same thing and avoid these topics with more than 400 posts especially when you find that the posts are similar and there is nothing useful to add!
