I'm still a beginner, however a couple of years ago I almost fell victim to a scam. It turns out that my friend's account was hacked and he offered to sell me some coins that I was looking for at the time. He sent me photos and evidence, however, as I knew him in person, I told him to do the business face to face and he refused. Later I found out it wasn't him. And like me, he had managed to scam several people. I would have lost $ 300.

 

In summary and conclusion, trust no one. If someone offers you something too good to be true, it is possibly and almost certainly a scam.

The main problem is also that huge airdrops site lists any airdorp doesnt mastter if its scam or not, as long as they get their listing fee they will list anything, and some ppl might think since its a trusted site that airdrop will be legti and gets scammed by that, and will send f. e. eth for gas fees to them or might even buy into their public sale which can result into a huge lose for that person. 

 

So imo such aidrops sites should also kinda check how legit and safe this projects are so their customers/visitors gets abit protected atleast.
