Always with all investments you should have a diversified portfolio. But in Crytpo you can probably make a case to hold one coin if it is Bitcoin. But you still have to keep an eye ot it, trade it, average down etc in a sharp fall to make the most of it.

Of course it's always risky, but If you invest all your money in a well known coin, the risk could be very low compared to other coins. I will recommend to look for a good coin when you feel sure or invest in different ones smartly, less chances to lose.
