i was scamed one time $50 in btc , they told me binary trding and given success report and plan , iam asked several qustions before..they answerd well and deposit first.then start your earnings, im deposite then told me agin deposit $50 btc , before deposit for regester fees, now youy deposit and earn and enable withdraw. at moment im raelise this scam

This is one of the subject we need to talk more about. How can we help new people in the space avoid getting scammed. Especially now with a Defi space, where projects grow 100% just by being listed on a market site like Coingecko.

You hear the term "DYOR" a lot. But for someone new it can be quite challenging to know where to start.

Because what does a legit project look like? I have falled for scams, that looked great and had a good use case as well.

I also invest on a doubler site. I have invested 0.01 btc for 1 month. But site got got closed only after 15 days. Thus i got scammed then.

Yesterday I got a similar message on Discord telling me I had won 0.68 BTC and to go on an exchange website, register and recieve my BTC.

The website looks really legit, so I created a fake account and even received a balance of 0.68 BTC with the code I got from discord.

I tried to withdraw, but it told me I needed to deposit 0.03BTC before I could withdraw.

I could even go to their exchange and swap for Ethereum or other currencies.

 

This all really looked great until I made a second account, used the same code and got another 0.68. This was the only thing I could do to claim it a scam before sending money in hopes of withdrawing everything.

These scammers are creating many problems and people lose their money and cryptocurrencies to them, they should be dealt and maybe we can find ways to hit them back, from our part what we can do is increase our education and make posts to help beginners learn how they work and expose them when we are sure they are scammers.
