Hey Budies!😆 Overthe Past couple of months Coinbase is having difficulties with working on Apple products. I will cover all the problems and recent condition so stay with post from top to bottom for better understanding the scenario. Overview: If anyone isn't aware Coinbase is leading Crypto Exchange (Centralised) with the great vision for Crypto adoption all over the globe and it's based at US. Apple is the giant tech company with 13.3% market share in mobile industry(data source: Q22020-idc.com) Coinbase De-Fi Innovation: Coinbase wallet is the new products of Coinbase which is non-custodial Crypto wallet. They were allowing users to interact with Decentralized financing services through the in-built Dapp browser. After the update of Coinbase wallet at March this year they took the De-Fi one step further and allows users to interact with Lending Protocols. Coinbase was allowing users to deposit the coins USDC, BAT, Wrapped Bitcoin, Ethereum etc. to earn interest on them.And two protocols Compound and dYdX were allowed to choose as Lending Protocols. Apple Updates On Privacy Policy: As we know Apple is way more focused for the security of its users from the past. And with this update Apple clearly announces that Earning interest on Crypto currency through IOS Application isn't considerable under the new App store Policies. According to the new policies the Daaps need to be registered on the app store individually and as the above criteria isn't fulfilled by these apps and it's not easy to register each Dapps individually used in Coinbase Projects Several other apps like Fortnite by Epic also got removed from the Apple store And right after the restrictions applied by Apple Coinbase starts facing obstacles with their new updates. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has informed about the issue on August 23 through his tweets. https://twitter.com/brian_armstrong/status/1297289908453662720?s=19 Recent Situation: On September 12 after expressing the critsim towards the tech giant Apple and indicating the act horrible Brian informs that Coinbase is working to send official request to apple for solving the on-going despute between the two companies. And though he has said he will inform the further information but currently there is no update to the seen. And It seems Apple is showing the negative response to their approach.
