    Free TON Turkey Governance Proposal

    According to research by Statista, Turkish Republic is the fourth country in the use of cryptocurrency (after Nigeria, Vietnam and the Philippines), 16% of Turks are cryptocurrency holders. With the more and more growing popularity of the crypto market in Turkey, the government’s concerns about using cryptocurrencies for illegitimate activities such as money laundering, terrorist financing, and tax evasion have gradually increased.

    This proposal aims to introduce a much needed tweak to the already existing volunteering and mentoring program.

    From the forgoing we seek to improve upon what we had started by creating a robust vibrant Free TON Africa community through volunteers and mentors engagement with the general African population in particular, developers and blockchain career prospects.     In line with the approved Free TON Africa Sub-governance master plan, this is a continuation of the Media program, to be carried out in this phase or second half of the year 2021.

    Since the inception of Free TON Africa, and all through the initial stages of the Media program including its associated activities like sports, contests and promotions within Africa, the Sub-governance has encountered various scenarios with equally mixed outcomes, and documented them in several specific reports and also in the Free TON Africa – end of KPI – combined community reports

    Free TON Vietnam Community Management Contest results

     

    According to the terms of the contest, the winners have next tasks and duties:

    • Maintain Telegram group: target minimum 600 new live members a quarter;
    • Maintain Youtube channel: content creation with one or two videos a month. Increase minimum 50 subscribers per month;
    • Maintain Facebook page: target two or three posts per week;
    • Maintain Twitter community: same content like in Facebook/ Youtube;
    • Join and support Free TON Vietnam’s online/offline events;
    • Answer questions of Free TON members in Telegram, fan page Facebook and Twitter.

    New Contest Proposal: ITG-2. Stand-alone SMV interface

     

    Stand-alone SMV is technically ready to integrate with third-party systems, but its problem is that the only interface for the user to access is DeBot. Of course, this is a powerful tool, but not flexible enough, for example, for conducting analytics, displaying large lists or implementing advanced functionality that is not currently supported by DeBots. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a simple and convenient user web-interface for working with stand-alone SMV and connected plugins.

    Prolongation of the Rust Cup for a week
    Due to an incident in the main network during the Rust Cup and the need to promptly eliminate its consequences, developers’ resources were diverted from preparing the necessary functionality for starting a high load in Rustnet.

    Therefore, it is proposed to extend the terms of the Rust Cup by a week.

    The exact time of the Rust Cup end after the Rustnet restart on 2021-08-03 will be published in the Rust Cup Timetable 22 after the new Rustnet cycles are available. The Rust Cup Leaderboard will be updated accordingly.

    Contest proposal: Syntax highlighting for Solidify source code files written for Free TON

    With many new smart contract developers joining the Free TON community, the need to implement syntax highlighting for popular source code editors and IDEs is here. Given that Free TON has its own flavor of Solidity, the use of syntax highlighting tools written for Ethereum flavor is impractical - the differences are too big.
