Documentchain was originally developed as a fork from Dash 0.12. Version 0.13 Ivan is the main step to update the code base to current Bitcoin/Dash versions.

1. DIP0002 - Special Transactions

This was introduced in Dash mainly for the new masternode quorum transactions. However, this also offers new possibilities for us and we are planning special document transactions.

2. DIP0003/DIP0004 - Deterministic Masternode List

More stability in masternode management and protection against 51% attacks.

First, it is important that all miners upgrade to version 0.13 and thus agree to the DIPs. Masternodes do not need to be updated yet. Note, however, that your masternode and your local wallet must have the same version (0.12 or 0.13) to control the MN.

Starting with block 315530, which is expected around 20:00 UTC on June 11, blocks from older miners will no longer be accepted.
Please update DMS Core to version 0.17 "Kenji" if you have not already done so.

Miner voting for DIP0020 (opcodes) and DIP0021 (LLMQ DKG) starts now.

Important Information for Masternode Operators

You may have noticed that since the DIP3 activation on May 10, 2022, all masternodes are enabled. Not a single one has failed. This has a simple background: in the transition period from version 0.13 to 0.17 nodes are not sanctioned, not even if they go offline. With DIP0021 "LLMQ DKG Data Sharing" the "Proof of Service" will be activated soon. Masternodes that do not work correctly will be banned.

Please keep an eye on your masternodes. If they get a pose score greater than 0, something is wrong. From a score of currently 332 (equal to the number of masternodes), they will not be further rewarded. Information can be found at https://documentchain.org/news/proof-of-service-bans/
