What do you think of the NEO / UZH partnership?

First of all, NEO sometimes looks a bit like a crypto black sheep, given the closeness to the Chinese authorities. But what do you think of NEO's plans (e.g. the rollout of NEO3), and the partnership with the University of Zurich? Is this a great way to establish NEO as a mainstream currency? Or are there too many issues with the project itself?

 

I was a bit surprised that they didn't partner with the ETH instead, but Zurich is an excellent place to start blockchain initiatives (nice city too, BTW).

 

I have invested in NEO, but only a relatively small amount($400), because I still consider it a risky project, and because it deviates from what many crypto currencies try to achieve. Especially their dependence on willingness from the Chinese authorities bothers me.

I am a little skeptic about the importance when it comes to corporate partnerships with universities/schools. I've seen even small crypto projects do them because they get free internships and schools/students seem to eat them up as they probably get free courses on everyone's favorite buzz word subject.

 

While the publicity is nice and this seems like a nice gesture, i am guessing it's not about overall blockchain tech but biased around the specific chain with the hopes get new bright minds to build more second layer solutions for them. So i guess it's a good pr in the NEO:s point of view but i wouldn't get my hopes up on results for them any time soon.

This partnership will be in the interest of both parties, as it is fraught with risks, but it needs support or cooperation with a well-known symbol in the world of encryption. I will not invest in it at the present time.

I own NEO because of trusting it with Chinese support. As for UZH, I don't know it, this is my first time hearing about it. Cooperation is generally the promotion of mutual development. I hope that this support is the same. But with money like UZH and NEO, will it bring a perfect combination? I don't have much faith

Well, myself I do not consider NEO as the riskiest cryptocoin. As you said, there are some restrictions for cryptocurrencies in China but I am pretty much sure NEO is not dying soon in the crypto markets. If you have invested $400 in NEO, it's not a problem wait for the next move to come.

Actually I don't know more about this matter but yes I know who is neo. Neo was cancelled the Chinese version ethereum. This is the big things that in coins.

Yeah, their partnership was quite surprising for me when I found out about it, however they definitely found some benefits for themselves for their progresses.

The NEO Coin is well established but what still makes it hard to really believe unto this coin is how the value and market actually performs in the Crypto markets, as I looking at how the Neo project actually operates on the corsotium of Crypto analysis as it behaves almost like doge Coin

I had high hopes for NEO but having seen how close they co-operate with the Chinese authorities made me not invest in it. I think of NEO as a platform that will be used for authorized private blockchain systems in China that will be under the control of the authorities. Meanwhile there is Ethereum, EOS, Waves, Qtum and so many more new blockchains that offer a platform for free expression and development of new projects.

I think that this partnership did not affect much the reputation of the currency because its price did not move much either. I don’t know whether the partnership was a failure or if the current market conditions affected the price

NEO is a coin like Ethereum. Far eastern version of Ethereum. 😄 I think they were in the shadow of Ethereum, but frankly, I trust the Asian market very much. Therefore, it will come alive from abandonment.
