Usually beginners buy bitcoin first and then go on and buy altcoins that are found in the most popular exchanges. It may be wise to have a lot of these altcoins but buy them when their price is very low and hope that the noobs entering will buy everything they find in coinbase and binance.

Most beginners prefer their first investment in bitcoin because they know, through bitcoin they can easily gain profit. But for investment, experience and knowledge required. There are many other coins of crypto which gives healthy profit for us. I prefer bitcoin, ethereum, trx and Eos for investment. So these coins are highly volatile. Check volatility of crypto coins and then invest.

As a beginner I am more interested in buying ETH when compared to bitcoin, I can still buy 1 ETH for my initial trade, apart from being cheaper the ETH withdrawal fee is quite cheap being a positive value for ETH to invest. ETH small trades are perfect because there is no big risk of holding them, as long as buying on a trusted exchange like yobit.

It is bitcoin beginners prefers to invest in, but that should not be it, beginners does not know much of other coins other than bitcoin, but they should know that there are better coins to invest at a particular time, better than bitcoin.

Personally I recommend investing in ETH, BTC, BNB and TRX. That will generate  you enough stability and profit for your investments. I already made +30% off my ETH investments and almost 1000$ off my BNB. Remember that crypto market is very large and you always got a choice which coin to invest in.

I would recommend beginners to invest in the most secured coin, probably Energi(NRG) is the most secured coin I have ever got to know. Energi is most secured because it has its own blockchain and is powered by Energi Bureau of Investigation(EBI) which tends to reduce the cyber threats and hackers stealing the funds. Even if any hacker, access the wallet by unauthorized means and transfer the funds to his wallet, the original NRG owner can complain about the unauthorized access to his wallet and by submitting the required proofs that his wallet has been hacked, he is able to get it back. I think most people dont have a preference in what they want to invest in, the truth is , we need to really educate the new comers much and really understand how to really define what is the right direction to follow the truth is there is alot of good work to be done here in this place to even learn what people are doing, the right time comes when we can be able to follow the right direction in investment , I think my advice is to study the most popular and also venture into upcoming or growing

Of all investment in the first place for newbie is btc because they know that it is easy to beginners, BitCoin would prefer to make a profit. However, investment requires skill and knowledge. But there are many other cryptocurrencies bring us a healthy profit. Check the volatility of cryptocurrencies and invest.

Just don't invest in coins that have no value, because you will have to wait a while for it to raise or maybe even they won't raise at all so stick with Bitcoin and/or Ethereum from the start. But read a little on how trade works if you are not familiar with this because you will end up loosing money and that's not a good start... Plus you will end up giving up on trading if things goes not as planned.

I think that a person who wants to invest to see his money grow should choose Bitcoin, it's the most stable currency and with more renown the other currencies also have their stability but Bitcoin has more confidence when it comes to being a new investor, in my case I would buy Bitcoin and as a second option I would buy Ethereum, that's also another one with a good base to invest our money...

Avoid falling into purchases of unknown currencies that in the end make us lose our money.
