I think they should use the backup key and 2fa features to increase security. when your backup key is stolen you still have 2fa access. and it's very difficult if the thief can take the 2fa key. so the best wallet is a wallet that has double security.

There is a lot of precautions that you have to take when you manage your funds. You need to choose your wallet carefully, save the private keys and seeds in a secure place, use a strong password....

Here is nothing to do if a thief takes away my hardcopy so it is always being cautioned that keep our private key iun the very secured places otherwise our crypto holdings will be lost. Do not share your hardcopy even with the family members.

You can't do anything, because like @clarityfund said, this is not applied to everyone, because for example like me I can't go to the police station because crypto is illegal in the first place in my country, so I can't do anything except changing my wallet, and try another one which will give you a better security level and change my hidden place next time

I think if someone had stolen the details from a safety deposit box that i had, then the first thing that i would do is that i wold withdraw all the funds from my crypto wallet and move it in to a new wallet or into a faucet site where i can then withdraw it to a new wallet once i create one. I would do that immediately. This is why i always activate two factor authentication to give me this slight time to move the funds in a case of a hack.

You can't do a lot in this situation because most likely that thieves have already stolen all your cryptocurrency and transferred it to their own wallets
