Finding bitcoin in old wallets

So i was cleaning my email drafts this morning and came upon an email with old wallets and private keys (not secure i know!) but then upon checking the wallets i noticed that some still had bitcoin amounting to 0.13BTC! It's not a huge amount but just wanted to share how happy it feels to suddenly find bitcoin from old wallets

You're lucky to see bitcoin in your old wallet.

The same thing happened to me but my biggest mistake was that I could not back up my wallet. Reason for not being able to open my wallet again.

You should contact the exchange support . And I don't think that's a big problem because any customer service always answers me.

You are really lucky. If for me it's a very large number.Unfortunately I just entered the world of crypto in late 2016. And there aren't many satoshi that I can gather first. So I don't find out more about my previous wallet

Yeah, but I lost a lot of bitcoin when the bitcoin was low. I didn't give it much value. Now I am confined to losing it. I think a lot is exposed like this problem. This is life. I should be more careful not to lose it again.

Never had that happen to me. I was too late to the bitcoin mining party. Wish I had kept up with technology back then, but then again, who would have thought this was ever going to be popular.

Congrats, it's like you find a treasure. I have old btc accounts, but nothing there 😭 😂

But i still have 1 accounts, in different laptop. Sadly, my laptop is broken, i don't know how to fix, and im not sure how many  btc in there  😥

Good for you, but in future NEVER ever keep or send your keys with email anywhere.
It can be hacked super easy, and you will lose all your crypto.

That is usually some of the best morning gifts someone can get 👍 that was nice at least just above a $1k worth and also many have said already, emails, goggle drive and any other online saving is not the best way to keep your PKs and passwords, write ✍️ them down in multiple places.

great stuff! it never happened to me with BTC, but it is almost the same as when you dress something you didn't wear for a long time and you find a bill in one of the pockets... instant happiness 🙂

hopefully I'll have this experience with some forgotten altcoin as soon as the alt season comes 😂

😁 I have same situation but I did not find that much (it is solid amount).

I know for cryptocurrency long time and I try a lot of different things and use many wallets, and after some times when I slow down with cryptocurrency  I start to check one by one wallets sites etc. And I find in Xapo around 0.025 BTC which I get before when I use faucets, I was very stunned when I see that is balance not zero. 😁

that will be the real happiness when you find the bitcoin in the old wallet, but some peoples dont have login details if they find bitcoin in the old wallets, they forget email, password and even they dont have private key of the account, i saw too many peoples.

One day I was checking my threads and I had old habit of writing private keys on paper physically, while I was cleaning my cupboard, I mistake found one physical ppr private key, which had 2Etherium in myether wallet, that was really a bomb feel for me!!.

This is a really enjoyable experience, like finding a large amount of money in your old clothes after you forgot it at all. It happened to me more one time, but not too mach when I returned to the wallets or exchanges I had previously registered and found that I still have some good coins.

I have had similar experience but that was with ERC-20 Wallet address that I used for some bounties after sometime tokens that I wasn't even aware were in the wallet got listed on exchanges and some of those token worth quite a fortune.

When the BTC will come in the mrket on that time i don,t know about that and if know about that then i will buy that coin on that time an down in this time i will sell that coin and now i am a millionaire so thats why i don,t have old wallets that i will check and found the BTC.

no man i never experience this enjoyable moment mate.. i don't have so many bitcoin as well if i find this amount in my old wallet then i will surely dance.. my luck aren't so much well i know that's why i don't even think about it mate.. and i never seen 0.13 btc together in my wallet cause i always sell my bitcoin cause of my financial support mate.. but i feel happy for you mate enjoy your bitcoin mate...

You are very lucky, able to find Bitcoin that has been lost and forgotten. I have no such experience. but what I want to know, what kind of business do you have to save Bitcoin, do you trade crypto or from the faucet site and what year do you save in the wallet.
