Caution on the Internet there are many phishing analogs of sites that send letters by mail, for example, go and enter the public access key. This especially affects airdrop wallets, so be a little careful before sending your data to a third party.

Thank you very much, anyway, always this type of emails that ask you for money, under no circumstances should you do it, no Exchange and less Yobit, There are people who fall into these traps due to lack of experience.

Also note that not only scammers that try this on exchanges but some exchange themselves have created a new way to scam people too. Formally BiteBtc now FedlioExchange have been doing some Twitter Airdrops and for you to be able to withdrawal any of the token or even if you have traded for other coin say BTC or ether, you  must make some mandatory account activation payment in BTC or ether to some address they send to you and even if you do fall for this scam and pay you still won't be able to withdrawal any of the token/coins and guess what? They prefer to do this transactions in DMs rather than in the official telegram Page. So some exchange are even scams themselves.

We should not be fooled by any email supposedly coming from legit exchange because for all we know they must be coming from evil scammers who got hold of our email address by harvesting them illegally. Scammers can be good in their use of words promising us the heavens and Earth but after we send them the money they can be gone to their dark hidden places and we could not anymore contact them.  I was once a victim of some scams so I should know believe me...

i am so sorry for all you lost but God will bless you me, from what happened to you , take it as a lesson learned and now you know better even when you get to have more money also your knowledge was increased, to be able to tell if emails sent to you fake or not.

The most important thing is caution
It is clear that platforms will not ask you for passwords, money or things like that
Access links or install software
All this is fraud

Another method scammers try, is that they send you a PM on Yobit pretending to be support, offering to withdraw your coins manually.

They seem to target users on Yobit chat, who say in chat that they want to try to withdraw funds, but the wallet is in maintenance.

If you get any message on Yobit PM offering you "manual withdrawal" then it is fake and a scam, report it immediately to Yobit support who will ban them from the site.

Well there are lot of ways people try to scam with the name of the exchange like if you are on their telegram they will pm you representing one of the admin of them and then will ask for account details.

Scammers are everywhere. you just have to be careful and access only secure domains, do not open links from email, do not send personal information, passwords or secret keys to anyone, no matter who asks for them.

They are low life scumbags. They only scam newbies to crypto as far as I know I may add to your list above.. if you have an issue about crypto in general or you don’t know how things work don’t go on social media and start telling the world about your problems. If someone message you first willing to help you be alert cos he’s about to scam you.

And with that you said pretty much about how close the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies is. Whether we want it or not, mass addiction is a long way off.

Great post!
Thank you so much!

I would like to add that this is not only about YoBit and cryptocurrencies.
This is a lot on the Internet.

Decision:
Think a few times before accepting the easy money offer.

Trading on the exchange is not easy money, because in order to get constant stable profit you need to learn a lot, read a lot and practice a lot.

There are always many scammers who wants to get easy money from us. So I never trust them easily. All the time i check the truth with customer service or manager of companies. And also i use another device for checking mails.

Tell me about it! Someone needs to slap every crypto fanatic in the face ( figure of speech) to wake up to reality and stop dreaming that one day you gonna be rich. Addict is the word. Thanks

I was talking about mass adoption.

We are still in the stage where we teach parents and grandparents to send an SMS, or log in to Facebook. Think about that would be a little hard  to save private keys and public addresses.

One thing is sure that scammers still catching newbies. So it depends on newbies how they come to trading if they are coming from faucets and other mining sites then there is 99% chance they will caught by these hac*ers and scammers soon. I advice to newbies please use 2FA and immediately turn off all laptop and system if you receiver a notification on sms. I would discuss it later in a new topic. So beware of scammers and take care of your hard earned money.

Yobit relies heavily on trust and credibility towards its users, and if it asks you for money or installments all the time I do not believe that the price of its piece will arrive at this level la, by cons it is that the plant always contains honest people to a point of becoming naifs voila the victims that seeks the fraudsters
