I don't think the American Government will close the Telegram App but only give a warning so that the Telegram App owner pays attention to it.  Considering there are still many uses of Telegram for positive things.

I think telegram has to do a massive cleaning and end for a while. I observe that telegram nowadays has fake groups that makes you click links most likely about cryptos and more bots. It's not really the telegram before which is having great performance.

Telegram is like that msn messenger that was widely being used until 2010. Totally nothing new. They claim encryption but still it is not end to end encryption and they permanently store everything along with the decryption algorithms on their centralized servers. I haven't heard about the above accusation, but if this happens then there is certainly need for regulation in order to fight this disease.

Telegram is a very popular in crypto society as it was widely use by project owners to give an update to their supporters and reply to their concerns via this platform. 

 

It is very easy to use also so I am hoping that US government will not continue their plan in stopping the Telegram as they are only looking for the opposite side of Telegram and not the bright side.

this is not the main reason, and this is only a way to make it a secret that politicians themselves are carried away by these requests and even more.
