More option in Report

Until now there are only three options, and seeing that this suggestion has been made for quite a long time and has still not being implemented, maybe it will be a good idea if I share what I do with the various reports I submit.

 

We have to make do with what options we have right now. We can consider the three options as the main ones, and then type in the details in the report. Yes, I know that typing in those extra text can be bothersome, but what else can we do right now?

 

For example, I use these when reporting:

 

This comment is okay, but I want to tell a moderator about it

• Inappropriate language - ... but otherwise good content. Mod has the option to move it to the appropriate language section, if there is any
• Wrong section - can request to be moved to other section
• Recurring topic - topic has good content, however, there is already an older topic that is similar and superior to the newer one
• Duplicate topic - can be due to reasons such as lag and the creator didn't bother to delete the duplicate himself

Offensive / Abusive

• Political / racist / abusive language - offensive content can be quoted as evidence as well
• Reputation abuse - (can be quite hard to report, now that users giving them out are anonymous)

Spam

• Off-topic - for obvious reasons
• Useless content - posts with less than ~100 characters and "empty" content
• Plagiarism - must quote original source as evidence

Your first suggestion is nice and good. When we saw some violators by copying and pasting other's works. It is easy to tell to the moderators by posting them in the section of plagiarism. Plus, we will aware who deserves reputation points unlike those who plagiarized and we dont have the chance to know them. But i think it is already implement if i am correct.

I see a great deal of subjects in wrong segments however I don't realize that I should report them or not as there is no alternative other than spam and injurious while the points are not spam entirely just in an off-base area

Truly this great proposals, I mean now this discussion turned out to be full with rehashed themes, similar to yesterday I saw a part rehashed one point with a similar title on one gathering, we should tidy up this disarray

We need to take report about those that do wrong in the forum so that they learn their Mistakes and fight it not to repeat it next time. But before reporting them first you need to correct them when they didn't correct that mistake you can proceed with your report. I think this should be the right decision.

When reporting on a topic published in the forum, the reason must be convincing and I agree with you regarding the availability of options as I mentioned in your topic, but in general the managers read all the notifications and all the topics they deal with according to the rules Whereas, they generally delete the violating topics, and we also evaluate the subjects with negative and positive evaluations according to their merits.

Yes you're right, many spam messages i see here that need to be deleted and the the members that doing that kind of abuse must be banned here. I think it is better if they add more kind of things need to be reported.

I dont actually understand what YOU mean..yah we can report   a member for different reason.. Such as copy paste of another comment... Make useless topic and break the forum rule.. So to report About those member forum authorities makes a topic where we can report members..

You have mentioned things that we should report to the moderators because there are scammers who are doing them. Keep sharing positive posts to support this wonderful forum.

Yes these rules are in my mind I don't make this mistake in my daily posts because these are the rules when I broke this I will definitely get ban and when I did this many members of this site will report my topic but I don't do this mistake..

The additional three will definitely allow for more screening and virtually eliminates Illegal posts and at the same time check the activities of scammers.

It is really necessary that the user's ensure that there are no wrong doings on the part of the user. So if there is any spam comments, it would be helpful if reporting is more faster. Yes these options can definitely be helpful for the users to report more easily than just typing out the reasons for reporting. It would be good if the group talk platform introduces such a feature.

This will help all to know his mistake and if he get a notification about his wrong work or good work then the forum will be much easier to use and all the topics can be well sorted.

I have read that some people report as a payback. As I see it your suggestions are good for making the process of reporting itself faster and easier, but you have to keep in mind that there must be a way to verify if a report is based on real violations to the forum or not. It is necessary that the people who are in charge of such an activity are totally familiar with all regulations so they do not just delete a post base on a report without double-checking. I know there might be a lot of work. The forum has to be fair, though.

Reporting is another option, that is, crypto currency. If you steal or copy other people's topics, then you must report to others. Otherwise, you will lose your account of this crypto currency, so you have to be very careful.

I don't think we need more options in report, we can just report and write in the comments why we reported something. Anything else will be more confusing, this is a forum not twitter that will send each report to another department, so we don't need to ask for too much that will make the admin job more difficult.

Since we can write in the report whatever the problem is there is no need to change anything. I am more interested to remove the spam and raise the bar of the posts and I am very happy to know after reading many posts that this is happening in the forum.

I also agree with more options to be available. Does anyone know how many moderators crypto talk has at any given time working on all these issues and completing all the tasks regarding deleting spam, etc...

I'm not using the report button a lot but if there are more options it will be better for the moderators to know what exactly they are dealing with and maybe they can identify a problem when many reports appear that have the same subject, so I agree that more options in the report feature should be added.

What is important is to give correct information and not make reports that are maybe spam so probably this will help a lot to have some more options in the report but I think that it is important to write why we give a report because it is not all explained with only one word.

Hhmm, I don't think that this feature is really needed because if you report something, you are required to say what you're reporting about. You need to type and you cannot proceed the report if you leave it blank. So maybe the feature that you're saying isn't really needed.
