GPU mining rig glory days are over and most are hard pressed to turn a profit even with low electricity costs. However, it seems that lots of people are still interested in mining.

If you used to mine or if you're still mining in 2019, lets post some pictures here for inspiration. Here was one of mine (so clean and professional!):

Graphic Cards (GPUs) are not ideal for cryptocurrency mining. But still its a worth try. If you're looking for something with high hash rate, low cost, and low power usage, you can start with as little as 1 GPU or as much as 8 GPUs within one rig.

I think GPUs are still slow at mining. If you decide to mine Bitcoin with a GPU, for example, you may wait years before you can mine one Bitcoin.

My GPU boards are obsolete consuming a lot of power and I don't want to use PSU syncronizers or kwatt+ PSUs and I try sell those Radeons away, so there will be just an R9 290 and a P104-100 on a 790GX mobo, Athlon II 240 core, up to 4 Gb of RAM and 700W Zalman TX PSU. These cards are mining Beam now, I could mine Ethereum too (on Linux to avoid older Radeon DAG bug).

The total cost is difficult to estimate as some parts were sourced from old PCs given for free.

Now a days gpu mining for btc is not much profitable . but gpu mining for another coin like monero is profitable to me. besides this any one can join cloud mining too.

I had posted a photo before, I am still working on my mining rig frame!

 

FYI, in order to use bigger computer screws (not M3), you can drill a 3 mm hole and with a little effort the screw can cut the thread for itself.

I have completed my build pictures of which I had posted before. Pictured it utilises only one board and is mining Ethereum at 28.4 mh in Ubuntu 16.04. I plan to add more graphic boards later.

This issue is discussed a lot and eventually a team of programmers have decided to create an algo that would be easier to mine with a CPU/GPU than with an ASIC. This is how Ravencoin was born and launched January 3rd 2018.

Gpu means graphical processing unit of the computer. It is a great tool to increase the mining velocity of the mining rig as it reduces the load on this cpu and the CPU doesn't get much heated up during the mining process .

GPU mining rigs are really profitable, although it's a bit slow but I still appreciate the GPU, I don't currently mine but I still love it.

Certainly, the profits decreased and I agree with you about the first part of your words, but mining profits for some poor countries are still high, according to the difference in the national currency of each country with the dollar, so it is worth trying.

I don't use GPU mining and better trading as this is more profitable and less expensive in terms of equipment and that is my personal opinion

Yes, your words are correct. Using GPU for mining is not an idea that will make you gain a lot
But I am using antminer it is better and more efficient because it is specially prepared for mining

The mining rig is my dream. I always wanted a mining rig to make my mining work the best and most productive. But for me now, I don't appreciate GPUs anymore, I mean I spend a lot of time on mining but it's less efficient.

Bitcoin mining is no longuer supported by gpus. Simply.

Some Motherboards can handle 15 to 20 GPUs. I have a H110 pro BTC+ (Asrock) that can manage up to 13 GPUs, I'm using it for mining. I also have a  B250-FINTECH (Gigabyte) that can manage 12 GPUs, I'm using it in my PC (the one that i'm using to post this comment).

@sara22  You are right, it's a mining rig and yes, a gpu core can reach 90% degrees in case of intensive use that's why good GPUs with good integrated fans are needed. In some case, additional fans are useful.

It is not worth mining cryptocurrencies in 2020, but also, we do not know what the price of this coins will be in the future. Holding can be good than mining because mining is now most difficult to achieve for profit.
