When a coin enters on the exchange it is unpredictable to say it's price as it totally depends on traders and that too because of the project itself of what they are so its price can decrease.

The ICO price could be anything not necessarily for it to be $1 and why it falls I told you above.

Now it is better to buy coins for DEXs, because the price is often lower than the price for ICO. I think that projects need to revise their strategy and change the fundraising scheme, otherwise the tendency of the price to fall after entering the stock exchange will not change.

Don't buy in ICO as they are just scams and a lot of tokens are gone  down to the price of 100% what they brought in ICO.

People bought in ICO at 10 cents per token, but now the price is 0.1 cent for a token.  Just check any coin or token that moved up or down after ICO.

Based on my experience, if you really want to purchase a token from an ICO project, the best is to wait for a few months until their token is already in an exchange. Once it hit the exchange, the token price drops (most of the time; NOT all the time). Once the token price drops, feel free to purchase tokens from the exchange at a "discounted" value. Again, this is case to case basis only.

ICO investment is very good if the project of that company is very challenging and the price is very low. Also, check the demand of the token at the Pre-ICO stage. If it is fully subscribed in very short period of time then must invest for the ICO. But if you have any doubt about that company  then let it for the exchange listing and purchase in lower price.

it depends some time they offer to buy from exchange too and most of the time from there portal ! but it use to had good profit but now a days it is not , it depends

i recommend you that always buy in the exchange, because icos are usually fake and wastage of time and money, but when they listed on the exchange then they become real coins.

I think its a very risky decision. Selling hard asset for crypto is a decision which I never recommended. Bedside that your altcoins list is good to go. But I would suggest its better to hold 40-50% of your portfolio in bitcoin.

IMHO, i would like to buy on ICO/IEO if the Market was favorable like it was in 2017.But still even today there are numerous IEO that still profitable beside it was done in these unfavorable Market condition so just choose the right project on the right few launchpad.

Honestly im joining ICO in 2018 and i have bad experience out of it , 3 of my participation was became an Exit scam so im not recommended to invest in ICO if you have no enough knowledge about the project. maybe the scammers are lurking for a victim to devour i suggest rather invest in IEO or buy on exchange since its more safer but there is no guarantee if it was profitable due to high volatility.

It depends on the project. I have very bad experiences in ICOs, because most teams promise development or listing on top exchanges and do nit keep these promises. After listing on exchanges the price drops really hard.
I think it is better to invest not in an ICO and buy the tokens after a listing.

Buy in ICO's are like win win situation as there is a chance in price increase after the initial release and there is also a chance of price down which will broke you completely.

I think that during 2019, you probably have a handfull of ICOs that didn't immediately fall bellow ICO price... some blame the bounty hunters, other the team that dumps, other say it is early investor bonus fault... anyway, the ICO prices are calculated using imagination and not the market, so it will be no surprise...

ICOs are also risky due to the high probability of scam

There are a lot of projects that are self funded and with no ICO... check around, some of them are really promising

Investing in an ICO is risky and there is a high chance that its price will drop when it is already listed on the market. So we should not waste time on ICOs as it will eventually become a scam too.

Some.of the ICOs I have partake in though not much, the price usually go down after close and list in exchange cos the quoted price for the ICOs fall once the coins are listed on exchanges for some reason I don't know so most if I like the project I monitor to see when the list and follow up to buy once price drops and this could take some time too.

 for myself, I've just taken a gander at a few tasks, the coins of which I won't purchase during ICO. In one of them, they set a base point of confinement on the buy, yet I don't require so a lot, and the cost is very high. What's more, in the wake of heading off to the stock trade, I figure I should purchase this coin. I feel that it won't cost just as on ICO.

Buying ICO used to be really good, if you bought ico you stand of great chance of doubling your investment when the token hit the market, but now too much scams are among ico so it has become very risky, buying on exchanges is much better now.
