Panic selling especially, it never helps. Most traders will follow their feelings and just sell probably at the bottom. Panic buying is actually different, as if there is fundamental and organic demand, it might be followed by fomo and prices can explode ten times or more. I think that all of us have panic sold at some point. How many times were we correct? I'd say personally around 2-3%. In case of selling after a major dip, we must know that it is better to wait.

That's very true, you should have the ability to separate different trading days from each other and instead of continue your trading from where you left off last day you should see every day as a new day and you should start with a blank state and not with having your loss in the last day in your head, if you don't see yourself being able to ignore negative emotions you should take the next day off to come back to your previous better self because as long as your are affected by that loss you won't be able to recover financially and you can make even more bad trades.
