Will XRP Overtake Ethereum in 2020?

This overtaking that! That overtaking this! There is no race in cryptocurrency. Even if you know whether ETH will overtake XRP or vice versa, it doesn't give you any useful information to improve your earnings! The statistical data reveals that ETH is way ahead of XRP in market cap and volume. Comparing them is wrong because they both follow different paths. Ripple is more focusing on connecting organizations while ETH is concentrating on providing a platform for app developers.

The year is coming to a close and xrp didn't do a lot except from a huge pump that can end with another dump and make everyone crying again that they invested in it and perhaps some day investors will stop buying this shitcoin just because it is valued in pennies. It is a centralized trash that is not worth investing and price of xrp will reach lower from the ten cents low it hit earlier.

XRP coin price is low at this time but the ETH coin price is high and it is not possible that the XRP coin will cross the price of ETH but in future if the coin price is high than the investors will invest huge money in the XRP coin than the ETH.

I don't think Ripple Coin will overtake Ethereum Coin in 2020.  This is because the market value of Etherium Coin and the demand in the world market is much higher than that of Ripple Coin.  Moreover the popularity of Ethereum Coins is much higher than the number of users of Ripple Coins.

Ripple didn't have a chance, it was always going to be bellow Ethereum and will keep it so, it just passed Tether again but this won't last either, XRP is doomed and as a long term investment it doesn't make sense.

@cryptovlekI think I share thesame concept with you on these particular one, Ethereum growth and development was so good that the xrp network had no chance, so yes ripple tried but Ethereum was just too good of a crypto

It was always looking bad and only in the end some people gambled because of an airdrop and only pumped because Bitcoin reached a new all time high. Nobody followed in xrp and already some people like McCaleb started selling again.

I don't think XRP overtake ETH in 2020. Both this coin are popular after bitcoin. And people also like thi coin . But to beat ETH, XRP have to do alot of this. Ethereum is very popular among the investors. The invest their money in ethereum. Ethereum values is really good. So i think XRP can't beat ETH.

I did not witness it myself but I heard that ethereum was once overtaken by XRP but did not hold for so long, so i think it is still possible for that to happen.

Seeing now, Ethereum still dominates. The difference between Ethereum and XRP Market cap is still far away. And to return to the second position may take time, but did not rule out the possibility that it will happen in the future. But for now I don't think it is enough to replace ethereum.

Both ripple and etherium are the top cryptocurrencies which are competing against Bitcoin at the market currently. even if xrp manages to overtake ethereum in the coming days, I don't believe it will be much of a factor because it is a decentralized currency which in my opinion is the best.

The price difference between xrp coin and ethereum is huge. It is very difficult for xrp to cross ethereum at any cost but xrp have a good potential to have its price increased because of its ability to perform many transaction in small time.

It can happen or it cannot happen, this will depend a lot on the networks of each Cryptocurrency because as you mention ETH has already received attacks by hackers and this is something that does not give ETH a good reputation unless you correct it.

Yes you are right. as xrp tried its best to overcome ethereum, it also been remain 2nd position in coinmarketcap but after some time it take a step back and sit on number 3, now the ethereum is at number 2 from many of months.

I don't think that will happen because the popularity of XRP has not been able to match even the amount of ethereum. ethereum will remain the second largest coin after bitcoin because ethereum can prove the quality of their coins so that its growth cannot be matched by XRP

On paper, XRP is unlikely to exceed Ethereum's price because XRP is a centralized coin so it is impossible to price above ETH. Ethereum is the coin with the highest trading volume on any exchange, I think it will be difficult for XRP to catch up. But in the crypto world nothing is impossible, so we'll see in the future.
