What is Cyan?
Cyan is the first buy now pay later service for the metaverse. Our goal is to make NFTs and all metaverse assets attainable for everyone. Choose to finance your purchase over a period of three months, or get a collateralized loan on your existing NFTs.
Cyan has gone through multiple audits from various firms, most recently and notably from CertiK. The team has gone through KYC verification and the protocol has gone through two security audits.
The initial list of profile projects was selected from Bitwise’s Blue-Chip NFT Index. There are more 40 projects. As Cyan grows, more projects will be whitelisted, along with more Vaults for other flavors.
FAQ
1) What utilities will I have with a cNFT?
You will be able to view the NFT, use Twitter blue, collect airdrops directly made to the NFT, and ability to send or sell the cNFT.
2) How long are repayment periods?
All Buy Now Pay Later plans are for a 3-month period. Pawn plans are 3 months by default or 24 hours for Flash Pawn type.
3) How will you notify me of payments due?
You may elect to save your email address to receive notifications. On the top right of the dapp, click on the "・・・" menu and select "Configure Email" to save or update your address. Head to Receive Notifications for more details.
4) What happens if I miss a repayment?
Your plan will go into default, and your NFT will be released to the appropriate Cyan Vault.
5) When I stake ETH in Cyan's Vaults, what kinds of risks am I facing?
The ETH you stake into the Vaults is used to lend out to fund the BNPL and PAWN plans. The interest paid on the BNPL and PAWN plans gets paid directly into the Vault.
So the risk you incur when staking is when a plan defaults, and the underlying NFT is liquidated at a poor price. Otherwise, you also have ETHUSD risk which we suggest the user hedges on a DEX or exchange if desired.
6) When token?
We don't have immediate plans to issue a token now. We believe a token is something to give back to the community, as issuing a token tends to skew a project's focus and motivations after raising funds. Yield farming, theoretical utility, and wishful thinking divert the focus away from building a great product. A product you enjoy using and is actually beneficial is the ultimate utility!
